Told my wife that the best hour of my wife was our wedding.   Tonight has been the second best hour.  I mean, just all around phenomenal.  Dondante is just a song that completes my soul and they destroyed it.  Stellar.  Simply stellar.  Don't see how anyone can watch that and question their excellence.

I agree on Dondante. If you watch that performance and listen to that story you have to be hooked.

I thought Circuital was recorded for that too, no?

I've heard that the channel Palladia will start airing the entire 90 min show soon, anyone got info on this?  I have that channel and love it.

Does anyone know who those two chicks were in the front row that they kept putting on camera? Man they're sexy...  ;)

Dondante is 10x as awesome after hearing that story. Was familiar with it, but hearing it from Jim and then they killed that song...man.

Got home a little after 11 last night, turned on the tv and didn't even take the time to move, sit, put down my keys or purse....I just stood there, glued to the tv...

i thought moving away was supposed to be on it?

great show, another cool twist.

Streethound

Great show last night but the mix was just horrible.  I was actually astounded that the mix was so bad.  Its VH1 and a national event on TV?   But the guitar was so poorly mixed that it overtook most of the music.   maybe I'm extra picky being a musician and a audiophile but I felt that it took away from what was otherwise an epic show.  And listening to Jim chat was really cool.

I noticed at the part in dondante when the band really starts rocking that the overall sound was muted a bit.  usually that song gets louder as it progresses and you could tell the producers compensated for tv there.  Amazing sound for the most part though.
Y'all got any disco ball back there?

Not available in my area... If it's not the time zone, it's the area, damnit! Good thing we got those meatballs, or I'd be so out of here!

Really enjoyed it. Thought the mix was a bit off too, but for me it seemed like Jim's mic was way too high in the mix at the start. Figured it was the format given the "storytelling" part of the show and that it was just like that cause of the talking between songs. It def seemed to level out after Wordless. Have heard Jim's voice sound a lot stronger than it did on this show. Kinda a bummer that it couldn't shine brighter for the exposure they were getting. Def thought the Dondante was the highlight and loved the Golden story. Bummer it's such a subdued environment for the crowd. Hopefully there were SOME people dancing in that place. I'm thinking I would have got tossed for flailing during that Dondante. Regardless, I'm sure there were a bunch of new MMJ fans born last night. Glad to see 'em get some quality exposure.
Oh shit, run!

bummed they cut out Movin Away

We saw Val too for a hot second.

Same thing for me with Dondante.  I knew the background but not all of the bits and pieces.  It was def hard to not get emotional seeing Jim so emotional telling that story.  Best part was him saying he didn't want to play that song but then said that they were going to so that their friend could be on storytellers too.  That was pretty awesome.

I loved hearing Jim give some love to Shannon Hoon.

Amen to that!  Love Shannon...that caught me quite off guard.
