Flights booked!! Woohoo ;D

I couldn't find a decent Tuesday flight, so coming out Wed. arriving 7:30 am. No luck with a Sunday return, so I'll be returning Sat.5:45 pm. Bummed that I'll have to pass on the Saturday night Rockies game, but really looking forward to the shows.

REALLY didn't want to go home on Sat.  There was a 10:10am flight out on Sunday morning that was going for about $350 an hour ago.  After Liz and I confirmed we could both do that flight I went back and the price jumped to almost $900...for a ONE WAY ticket (already have my flight out to Denver booked since I'm flying from Florida).  So we will now be joining you guys on the Sat 5:45 flight.

I'm bummed about coming home on Saturday too,and had a similar problem as you with finding even a decent priced Sunday return flight. The only one that was semi affordable would've put me into Newark in the wee hours Monday morning, and I couldn't swing that, and work Monday too.

No worries though,I'm sure we'll pack a boat load of fun into our shortened stay. 

On the plus side, I'm sure our return flight won't need any help getting off the ground with the four of us still in a JacketFestWest High! ;)

I'm getting really psyched now that flight is booked, and JFW is indeed a reality.  8) .... I don't think I've ever wanted a summer month to go by so quick, but..... c'mon August!!

What is a good estimate for time on when people expect to (1) get to the venue parking lot and (2) get in line to go into the show?   I want to maximize my forum peeps time since this is the only day I'll get to party with y'all.

This is up in the air for our group right now until we get the details figured out with the party bus. I'm guessing we'll get to the parking lot after 4:00 with the bus, and as early as possible without. I'll probably get in line as soon as we get there.

Dave are you still headed up to the bluegrass/beer fest that weekend?

is anyone going to the bluegrass and beer festival in boulder on saturday & sunday the 6th and 7th? I think I'll end up going one day, because for 35$ you get to sample unlimited beers and listen to music


also, i was unaware that my favorite beer, Mojo IPA, was a Boulder Beer, so i'll definitely be going there once or twice in boulder

is anyone worried about the will call situation? i got presale tickets that are will call only. it looks like pick up is far from the gates. that's weird. normally the box office is located within a reasonable distance to the gate.

Ok, hope this helps a bit: myself and Penny are on the same flight(not sure about ynwa), arriving Denver 7:45 am Wednesday. We'll pickup the rental car and probably get something to eat and wait for Ky, who gets in @ 11:30am. If we need to go to the cabin first, I'm sure we can, but I think it'll be easier to just wait for Ky, than come back.

Once we have Ky, I'd imagine we'd be to the cabin 1:00 - 1:30 the latest.

Pretty sure Mr. and Mrs. Headhunter will be arriving Tuesday, and I don't want to speak for them, but knowing the HH's, I'm pretty sure they'd be able to get to the cabin by whatever time they'd have to for the party bus.  ;)

i have about the same ETA to the cabin via driving.. I'll get there around the time you guys drive up from the city.. i think i just wanna throw down in the backyard and listen to some tunes whilst drinking/grilling out.. i'm gonna throw out a tent in the yard and i'll also have my dog with me.. i saw the flaming lips up close on a Saturday evening set at Hangout Fest.. so I'm not too bummed to miss the wednesday night show.. it all pretty much came down to financial reasons.. i'd rather use the money i'd spend to go to the flaming lips show to have a good time at the MMJ show and have more coin to do fun stuff on the weekend up there..

i guess i can hold down the backyard partying until you guys get back from the show.. we can roast s'mores over an open fire and sing "kumbaya"

gonna leave sometime early on friday AM and drive up to my brothers and spend a few hours there.. leave the pooch at his house in cheyenne and come back down to denver friday afternoon and try to see what kind of trouble we can find..

not sure how many people are in for the rockies game still.. but i plan on squeezing in an early morning of fishing just once over the weekend before I drive home on sunday morning.. i know the rockies game is at 5:15pm on saturday.. so it's do-able.. but this bluegrass beer festival sounds like it might be a better saturday event..

Yep, we get there Tuesday and will be staying nearby in a hotel but we should definitely be able to get to the cabin for a party bus at whatever time works best.  Will need to get directions from Crispy.
