tdb....the ticketing was no problem. other than the 7 hours it took us to drive down to the will call booth, which was practically an outhouse at the bottom of the mountain. all we needed was ID.

I was so happy to see all those who made it to the tailgates, the shows, and the cabin, and greatly missed all those who weren't able to. Thank YOU peeps for making the whole thing so much goddamn fun!

I have to queue this up. I can't believe we didn't get footage of YOUR Sasquatch. You're much better looking anyhow.  ;) Crispy can do a MAD Sasquatch walk.

after the show we drove to crispy's in the dark.  the next morning i woke up and saw this out the window.  i thought, "ohhh."

TERRIFIC PIX, YWNA!

(i'm using the wifi on the plane as i fly home.  i am doing my best not to belly laugh.  ky, you are making it difficult.  ;D )

my only regret of this past wk is that Beth & I had a friday flight to catch and couldn't make it to Crispy's cabin.  From what I've heard, read and the pictures I've seen, it was surely the perfect cap to a perfect few days.  Few things in life are perfect but there was nothing missing for our few days at Red Rocks.   Even the dream of it pre-show wasn't as good as the real thing.

Not crossing this one off the bucket list because I NEED to do it again someday.

ynwaLiz, your pic from the loft window is the best I've EVER seen! Wizliz, super comments! And yes, we did see Tommy making sweet, sweet love to his amplifier. RAWR

Seeing these photos is so great but it also makes me miss you guys so much more. Look at all the smiles!

Hey guys!

It was great to meet you all at Red Rocks last week.  What an amazing time and what a great group of people!

Well, after a long drive home back to Minneapolis and getting settled back down, I finally edited my photos from the show.  The really unfortunate thing was that all photographers had to bring their gear out of the show after the first three songs.  Even though you can only be in the photo pit for the first three songs, I usually get some of me best shots from the crowd later in the show...but not this time.  So, here they are...the first three songs:

And here is a small gallery of pre-show pics of the forum folks:

Enjoy folks!  If there are any that you want, click the envelope icon on the gallery and just ask, I would be happy to send you some copies of what you want.  If you want to share the gallery via Twitter or FB, you easily do so by clicking the envelope and it will give you the option.

Again, great time everyone!  The whole Minneapolis crew thanks you!

Nothing I could say here would add to the above.  But I will say this:

CRISPY, You are the best!  Such a lovely host and I thank you for all you did for us.  Also, I would like to say that the folks at Camp Crispy on Friday night were very very kind for putting up with a mildly fussy Baby MMJ!  She had a great time and is recovering nicely from her Second Face Melt (not counting the in utero one's).

Best. Ribs. Ever.

:-*

My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked

Crispy

I love that pic SO MUCH! It was so great to have you guys there, and did anybody notice baby MMJ being fussy at all? Not me. Hooray for ex utero Face Melts!

I also enjoyed lying on the deck watching meteors with your hubby snoozing in his chair.

Baby MMJ is so adorable and really held it up quite well this weekend.  Happy to meet your family!

I'm feeling sick today.  Jason must not have eliminated all of that sage.  Gonna have to have a little chat with him about that when he returns...

I can't really add much to what's already been said about the show, except it was one of the best concert experiences of my life.

I've been fortunate to see some great shows over the years, but this night, in this venue, with all these great forum friends gathered to see this band, add up to a show  that will be hard to top.  8)

To all my friends I've seen shows with before, and those I just met for this one, I'm so glad we got to do this one together. Everyone one of you added so much. The party starting at 1:00, the laughter, and rocking the 1st two rows, made this seem like it was "our" show to me. Looking around at everyone in our group loving, and rocking out to our guys from so close, was one for the ages!

Camp Crispy is something I hope we can do again someday. Hopefully much sooner than later. It was the perfect capper to an amazing few days. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much, and so hard, that wasn't chemically enhanced. ;) (Those days are long gone for me). It was non-stop fun, and I'll cherish all the memories forever.

Chris... you were a wonderful host! Thanks so much for getting the ball rolling on JFW, and opening your place to us all.

Lastly I want to close with a quote from our host that I find myself laughing to all over again when I think about it. I'll be having flashbacks to your Sasquatch, and this quote forever. Thanks again!!

"Where's Jim going?"

1) Baby MMJ was NOT fussy. Sweetest kid ever because I'm sure we looked very frightening, all smiling in her face and laughing non-stop.

2) Ribs were amazing, but I want the guac!

3) I think I'll need to randomly pull out my notes and read over all the quotes from Camp Crispy. With one of the best being: [Chris as he addresses the imaginary mountain lions standing at the fence] "Hey! There's people from Jersey over here!"

where to begin....

it was really nice to finally meet EVERYONE. My friends and I all had a really great time. this experience for me was a dream come true and to be surround by people i love, and people who love the band and the music is more than anyone could ask for.

thank you forum for your hospitality under the canopy and saving some seats for me and my gang. They were all really happy to see such a nice group of people who couldn't have been more welcoming.

as for the show, MINDBLOWING! three hours of just nonstop rockin and rollin. the kind that shakes your soul. As the band entered the stage i felt my knees shaking. it's such a rare feeling but very humbling when you attend a lot of shows. I'll never forget how much the wind swirled around. not only because my lips were chapped as shit but it felt like when the songs would swell or get louder the wind would pick up. we were all in this together not just as fans but mother nature as well. hands down, my favorite jacket show ever.

last note - that rumble during the encore ended up right where i was standing but i was so into the show i kept singing as i was looking down at this man being jumped on. then Jim stopped the show and asked if we were all right and you can just see how genuine he is and caring about the fans when he looks directly at you and asks a question. i'm SO glad that Baby MMJ got the eff out of there because that would have been a terrible place to be.

see yall friday!

That's my buddy in the Horse Head pic.  I'll have to show him your photos.

That Jersey line just made me lose it again.  I forgot how funny that was!

LOVE that picture of you, me and Eric.  We could make this our official engagement photo if you want.  ;)

1) Totally agree. If baby MMJ was fussy, I must've missed it, because she was not only beautiful, but pretty damn chill, imo. 8)

2) How could I forget about the guac? Chris needs to bottle that or something, ala Newman's Own salad dressing. "Camp Crispy Guac"!

3) God...if you had notes or a recording from Camp Crispy, it would be a BEST SELLER! So many one liners......"There's Rules People", "Eagle Scout", "Dueling Banjo's"? and I can't leave out..."Box fan, Straw hat, and a Machete". ;) Too many to list. Must go back.
