walterf.  i went to humboldt, too!  lived up there in 1989-1996.  when were you there?
the walk of fame is right outside the theater.  and there is lots of great beer on tap 2 blocks away.

i went to the box office to get my tix saturday.  spent some quality time on that stretch of sidewalk.   ;)

i will crab openly about this only one time:  i prefer to sit closer to the stage because the further back in the crowd i go, the more distracted the attendees can be.  i can have a great time just about anywhere at a show.  i just like to limit the chances of chatty-neighbors.  (at one show i had three girls behind me who were having an argument.  lame.)

I feel you on this, ms. y.

Also, hi.   :)
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

I lived up there 1994 to 1999.  And I lived all over the area over the course of my time.  Started in Eureka (Cutten)>Arcata (Sunny Brae)>McKinleyville>Fieldbrook> Dows Prarie> Fieldbrook.  Went to College of the Redwoods before transferring to HSU.  Worked at Figueridos video for a bit and Ramone's Bakery for several years.  I really miss it, it's a completely different world up there.

wow, you really lived all over!  i sold my car when i moved up there so i had to stay close to town.  lived for a few years right by the bird sanctuary. still carry my fondness for herons & egrets to this day.
ramone's!  one of my oldest friends was a counter dude there.  and one of my roommates.  spent a LOT of time in the old town eureka & union town ramone's.  i worked at the video experience (rivals!), metro cds when it first opened, abruzzi restaurant...

it's been a few years since i've been there.  last visit included a burrito from rico's and a crabs baseball game.

awesome, we went there (arcata marsh) for a couple of hours on saturday and did some bird-watching, went there immediately after getting disgruntle over the TM on sale!

We'll have to chat about pre-show beers in LA when it gets closer to show date.

Shug

My family vacation plans changed yesterday and now I am available to make the Pantages show.  I've never seen MMJ yet, but my wife and I watch Okonokos pretty frequently and consider MMJ live one of only a handful of current rock bands who can hold a candle to the great masters of the 70s.

So if anyone is upgrading or has a pair of tix to unload for the LA show for some other reason, we'd be stoked if you sold 'em to us.

I know I don't post much around here, but I'm not a flakey opportunist, just an honest lover of rock.

Thanks for your consideration.

I find it interesting how many Humboldt folk enjoy MMJ...is there a connection between the two?
