Yeah, I saw the comedy gravy last week. Not too much interest there, but this leads me to believe the musical lineup is coming shortly.

I really fucking love One Sunday Morning.  Whole Love is pretty solid throughout, and it makes me excited for their new album coming out.

Btw, Via Chicago has clicked with me and it is epic.
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

Jeff Garlin (of Curb Your Enthusiasm fame) has started his own podcast. It basically him and a guest having a causal conversation about anything and everything. There's been only 3 episodes so far, Larry David was the first guest. The third episode features him shooting the shit with Jeff Tweedy and can be downloaded here if anyone's interested http://www.earwolf.com/episode/jeff-tweedy/. You can also subscribe via iTunes.

Good news and bad news:

"Solid Sound lineup announcement starts today at Noon Eastern. We'll announce the artists and activities of Solid Sound 2013, in alphabetical order, one letter at a time, every 30 minutes -- that'll be from Noon to 5:30pm today and 10am to 4:30pm tomorrow.  Follow us here and on Twitter (@SolidSoundFest) for that latest updates."

We'll finally find out the lineup but it's being spoon-fed to us. Just make one announcement. This better be worth it.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

After whining yesterday about the way they were announcing the lineup, I woke up this morning totally excited to follow along online.

If you look at the last 2 SS lineups, I don't think there's any question this is the strongest to date. The only case that can be made is 2011 featured Levon Helm. But as a whole, I think this year takes the cake. I started listening to Foxygen and am really digging it. Will definitely check their set out.

I wish Wilco played Boston once in awhile. I need to see them live already. :cheesy:

They played September 2011 at the Wang, and April 2010 at the Orpheum.  Not to mention shows in Concord NH, Burlington, Hartford, Providence, Newport, Portland, etc the past couple years....

I think I just missed the wang in terms of when i got into Wilco enough to see them live .  I can't really get to those other places cause I rarely have enough money for a ticket alone let alone money to travel to those places.

One of the many nice things about wilco is that they've kept their ticket prices relatively low...they're still in the $40s. Good on them.

Shit, we're paying upwards of $100 a ticket for the Aussie shows in March/April.  :undecided:
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

bigloop

Yikes!  It was $45 before fees for last summer's New England tour.  The thing about ticket prices, once the decision is made and the ticket is bought, the price you paid is forgotten as you're bathing in the outstanding live music experience.

ralph

We always pay over the top prices down here though. Might have something to do with being at the arse end of nowhere!

speaking of ticket prices, 170$ isn't THAT MUCH for a pair of tickets to see Jeff Tweedy since its for charity. hint, hint, chicago peeps.

Does anyone know the reason why Wilco's shows aren't available on archive.org? I know a lot of their recordings are available at the Wilco Archive but it's not as organized and informative as Archive. It's frustrating, I wish they would just make them available on there already.
