I've seen them twice: at Fun Fun Fun Fest last fall and at Coachella this year.

I've seen them twice: at Fun Fun Fun Fest last fall and at Coachella this year.

Saw them the other night opening for QOTSA.  Dug them a lot.  Have great potential.

A friend mentioned this band the other day, not really heavy metal, more liek hard rock.

Sad news on the metal front again.  Athon of Black Tusk has passed away after a motorcycle accident in Savannah.   , RIP.

I'm really digging the new Mutoid Man album.  I'd be surprised if it didn't end up in my top ten at the end of the year.  If you don't know, it's Stephen Brodsky from Cave In, Ben Koller from Converge, and Nick the sound guy from Saint Vitus in Brooklyn. 

I'm also really enjoying the new Vattnet Viskar.  What are some other great metal albums that have come out this year?

Have heard that Mutoid Man's new one was good and have meant to check it out since I caught Stephen Brodsky open for the Mountain Goats in Philly earlier this year and liked his set.
