Some dude named pinkdarkechoes has been putting up old bootlegs on youtube. this is one of the better sounding and i have been in a trance at work since the keyboard hit on grantchester meadows and transitioned to AD

Holy SHIT, this is incredible. Thanks for the heads up, this is going to go very well on the stereo at home with a cocktail or two.

Is the Wembley '74 bootleg the same concert that is included with the DSOTM Immersion/ Experience box set?

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

This is pretty cool.  From an LA-based music blog, The Barn, comes the Pink Floyd Mix Tapes.  Four "albums" of Floyd covers, including complete Animals, Wish You Were Here, and Dark Side of the Moon.  The fourth is a bunch of assorted covers from the remainder of the Pink Floyd discography.  Check it out!

This band is my first true love with music.

Favorite Album: Animals (One of the best albums ever imo)
Favorite Songs: Dogs, Echoes, Us and Them, Green is the Colour
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

for fans, this a longform piece my friend wrote that is now posted on Merchants of Rock.

if you have some time and like PF (which you probably do if you are on this part of the forum) then give it a read.

I don't even know where to begin when rambling about my love for Pink Floyd.
Can you keep it simple? Can you let the snare crack? Can you let it move without holding back?

my buddy is a Pink Floyd maester (for you Game of Thrones fans) and he's written a few times about them, including a true deep dive into the Wish You Were Here demos and another article I posted a few years ago.

he sent me this today that was published in an online zine.

Really fun read about a lesser known album and interesting period for the band. Check it out.

Agreed - great writeup!
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

Yeah, the guy nailed it, Obscured By Clouds is a very balanced Floyd with all members contributing fairly equally, not yet too heavy on Waters' ideas at the expense of contributions from the others.  Discreet songs tightly composed, just enough rootsiness to ground it, yet enough ethereal introspection to keep it mystical and trippy.  This is good LSD music.  I'd give it far better than a C+ though, more like an A- to Dark Side's A+++.

I've always dug this album.  I listened to it today and was so stoked on Mudmen followed by Childhood's End, fucking fantastic!  There really isn't a bad track on it.  It goes really well with David Crosby's If I Could Only Remember My Name from about the same time period, another under-appreciated psychedelic gem.
"Some like their water shallow, I like mine deep"

Come Closer

Well written, but Meddle is uneven and AHM is bad while OBC is a gem? Ehhh, can't really get on board with that. It is a bit slept on though.
