It's been 3 long years and they're finally coming back.  it hasn't set in yet, but I am definitely pumped.  Meadow Brook is the nicest outdoor Michigan venue there is too so that's a bonus, and it's in rich-person-ville right on the campus of OU.  very nice forest atmosphere.  a miniature DTE if you will.  small general admin orchestra pit.  saw primus there and it was awesome.  whose going?

It's been rough not having a show or two.  not even a little baby show to go to.  they made a smart decision coming back here, I plan on rocking until they shatter the fucking earth.  see you in august my morning jacket, be prepared to rock.

I'm planning on coming up to rock out in Detroit Sticky!

My wife starts school the day after the Cincy show, so Detroit is ON!

Sounds like the venue at Detroit is better anyways from what you describe Sticky!   I've seen a couple of different shows at Riverbend in Cincy and that place just doesn't do it for me for some reason.

I saw the tour dates and thought "sticky will be happy!"

There you go me boy!! If I wasnt so busy with school & shit, I might actually consider hittin this show up.

I tried thinking and couldnt come up with one, so...what school is OU?

OU is Oakland University located in Rochester which is a suburb of Detroit.

awesome dude, awesome.  I'll be there early hangin out for sure.  Meadow Brook is a really laid back, cool venue.  there are a lot of cops there though.

this is what we're workin with:

Row H center is the schools owners seats or something.  that's where we sat for primus and it was level with the large, perfect view.

Looks like a nice venue.  Is there seating under the pavilion?  And is it GA?

We should be able to roll into town early so meeting up would be cool!

We're also debating on whether or not to camp for the night.  Any nice campgrounds you know of in close proximity to this place?

Yes, there is seating in the pavilion (holds 2,800).  It is GA on the hill.  Lots of camping all about.  http://www.michigan.org/City/Default.aspx?city=G3486

Driving to Chicago to see that show.  Nice to have one close to home.  Hopefully aCleveland area stop will be coming to complete the trifecta.

Thanks for that link and info bugsy.

And a Cleveland show would be kick ass.  I can't remember the last time they played in Cleveland.

Wow, what an impulse buy. Saw pics of this tiny looking venue and splurged on Roll Call pit tickets. Looks like we're in for a hell of an evening! Can't wait...

Taking the train out to the Chicago show can't wait. Saw the Meadowbrook show last time when they opened for Wilco that was a really good show. If they don't add a Cleveland date you might want to hit the Indy show its a cool little outside venue in a park in the middle of the city.
