I have the DVD files for this, to burn a video DVD.  Its 1.84 GB, kinda large, but I'll try to get it on megaupload and report back.  I think the resolution is good, and I have to tweak my LCD flatscreen settings to get the widescreen picture, but it sounds great and looks okay.  

Later that night...

...damn, took forever to upload, then with 15 minutes left I accidentally closed my browser and had to start over.  1.8 GB download is files for burning video DVD, no menu.  Hope it works for ya.

Hey all.  I just saw that no one has downloaded the DVD files I uploaded to megaupload for the MMJ From The Basement vid.  Its nearly 2 GB, so I'm gonna delete it soon.  I'll keep it up through this weekend.  

Maybe I'm one of the few, but I like trying to convert these online videos to DVD so I can watch 'em on my flat screen with 7.1 surround.  Even low res files sound good and look fine from 10 feet away (I have a long living room).  

BTW, to avoid starting another thread, I'll just ask here.  Does anyone know of any other pro shot MMJ video along the lines of Rockpalast that are out there?  I own Okonokos and Acoustic Chorale.  I've got a solid versions of Rockpalast, Austin City Limits 08, and From the Basement.  I also have a documentary DVD from the release of ISM.  I made a decent DVD of the Yim/Carl show in Amsterdam (5-16-08).  I've downloaded every video still available through the video thread, though the Conan vids won't work.  Just curious if I'm missing anything epic.  Thanks.

I could probably hook you up.  It was proshot for public tv in austin but never aired.  The videos popped up on youtube a few years ago and Kory contacted the poster.  We ended up scoring a better quality DVD from the guy.  

I haven't yet ripped a DVD with my new macbook but I'm sure I could figure it out.

One note from this show is they dedicate War Begun to George Savage who was once a regular poster around here.

I haven't yet ripped a DVD with my new macbook but I'm sure I could figure it out.

Hey folks.  I'm sorry!  I just found out, via an email, that the From the Basement download, being over 1 GB, requires a paid subscription to Megaupload.  You must think I work for the company.

If anyone knows of a free way to make these files available, let me know.  In the meantime, email me and I'll burn either raw files for the computer or a playable DVD for the first 10 responders.  I don't expect anything in return, but love surprises.

Dylan, I would love anything you can do to get me this show/vid.  I have not had the time to properly watch the second clip, War Begun, but will do so tonight.  I can work with raw DVD files, so you could try a copy/paste from the DVD you have and I can build and burn from there.  I'm guessing your copy lacks any anti-copy roadblocks.  

Sorry about the download issue.  Please let me know if and when something like this occurs.  I found out through an email from mahg33tah that my eBay links for the ticket up for charity were not working, only two days before the auction closed.

I see someone reposted the Austin 6/3/03 vids.  Thanks!  Turns out I already had them!  I downloaded so much MMJ stuff last year and still haven't watched/listened to it all.  

BTW, does anyone know of a good, FREE software to convert MOV to DVD files?  I had one that won't work since I "upgraded" to Windows 7.
