So the past few days have been surreal for me:

Thursday night I drove from Chicago up to Milwaukee for the Riverside Theater show. Standing in front of Carl and getting my first live taste of the new album and some old classics (Old Sept Blues, Honest Man). The energy in the crowd was amazing!

I took off of work Friday because I was having a ticket issue, so I went to the Chicago Auditorium around 12pm when the box office opened. Sparing the whole long story of the ticket situation, I had to wait for a few hours in front of the box office and I saw this long black bus pull up with Tennessee plates. After turning down the road, 10 minutes later the entire band came walking directly towards me. I knew nothing else to do but start the slow clap and say " MY    MORNING   JACKET" lol. The guys all laughed and I said hi. They were all really nice and Carl and I chatted about the previous nights show in Milwaukee. It was a brief encounter but wow was it cool!

Directly following, my ticket situation was fixed and I was able to make it in the show 2 rows away from MMJ melting my face! The Chicago show was epic, from the pure beauty of the Auditorium, Jim James white boots almost knocking me out several times, "Wonderful" getting stopped several times to make sure the Golden Rainbow was lite up in the Theater, to an unbelievable set, and great company surrounding me!

Thank you MMJ for a great couple of days that I am "holdin on to!"
