Good gawd that was absolutely insane! What a show. O is the one was the one song I wanted to hear more than anything, couldn't believe it when I heard the opening notes. And yes, thought the show was never going to end. Truly amazing! And the fox...you just can't beat that venue.

Here comes High Sierra!

They had a slight spotlight malfunction and highlighted Tom while M. Ward started singing the second verse of Wonderful.  They finally got it right.
i loved this!

oh! (O!): big west coast T5 reunion action last night on the floor!  hilarious how familiar it all felt.

gah!  my nerdiness is compelling me to write more but my "first baseball game of the season" jones is telling me i must away.  seeing my hometown team in their park by the bay today.  I LOVE SUMMER.  next step--> :coffee:

Easily one of the best, if not THE best MMJ show I've ever seen  :o :D
The energy and sound was dialed in quickly. Was about 15 ft from the stage and just surrounded by great people really getting into it.

I hear about the encore, I seriously couldn't believe the show wouldn't end. For a moment I thought, wow, no OBH tonight, no Black Metal... especially when the band left the stage after Touch Me Pt.2....  The Jazz Band fit in very well on every song... sometimes the added horn sections can sound a bit contrived, but they strongly enhanced it all. Felt like I was in a cartoon. Lots of high fives.

See you at High Sierra and Red Rocks!

New fan here, had heard one or two of their first albums but it didn't totally click for me, caught them based on buzz on the Phish message board and definitely a great show.  Took a few songs to really get cooking (felt like a lot of the crowd didn't know the songs that opened the show) but after that was very, very on and kept stepping things up.  The Fox is such a hot room!  Amazing interior, great staff, and always gets a great crowd out.  I thought JJ seemed a little overwhelmed by the massive amount of energy at times based on his monologues.

Will definitely catch this band again the next time they come through town!

Awesome show and it was a delight to see all the familiar faces - yvon, walter, liz.

Anyone get a poster?

A little late to the party, but you can add me to the roll call, too.

I was riding the rail right in front of Jim, too.

Amazing show last night. I didn't think they could put on one that even came close to the Greek Theatre show in Berkeley in the fog in 2008, but that gig and this one are, like, 1A and 1B for me.

What a monster set. I was worried I was gonna miss the BART train if they kept going.

the bold = my 2011 pee break.  setlist looks solid, intense second half for sure.

That is one long pee break dude! The best (and really, the only good) part of mid-set urination is the no line factor, meaning you can usually take a great leak and miss only one tune.

It sucks that the best combo for maximum MMJ enjoyment is booze and bud. Wreaks havoc on the ol' bladder. I'm thinking of having some fun guy at my next show just to alleviate the aforementioned, and usually always necessary early-set pee break.

Sticky Icky Green Stuff

nah fella's you don't get it.  at I'm amazed I realize I have to pee, I don't actually urinate until Golden and than I grab another beer and walk back with an "ahh, that felt good to get it 'outta my system'" type vibe.  making it back in time to go balls to the wall, bladder emptied, rock heaven.

oistheone

Ahhhhhh, of course. Gotcha.

Golden is perfect pee song.

kydiddle

This set makes me a little emotional.  :embarassed:....excellent show for you all!!!!

i was holding a major piss on the beach at the hangout music fest and when they started in on "first light" i turned around to steam engine and said "fuck it man i'm pissin down my leg for this song" and proceeded to urinate on myself and pouring water on my legs while rockin' out and drinking a miller tall boy..

it made these lyrics make total sense to me all the sudden

"Been looking back
Down through the ages;
First I was an ancient
Then I was an infant
Now I am alive."

My Morning Tube top

Miss Y I hope you are enjoying the Game, gorgeous day here! I am still basking in the beauty of Oakland, Glenview sure is pretty!

Last night was amazing! I was getting down up front behind ms Y, loving every minute of that huge set list. Great special guest M. Ward & Pres Hall ;D

No SF chapter of chorus ladies on BM but the horns, so nice! Loved seeing Little Joe in his Alabama yellow shades  8), banging on that drum with a big smile. They are like family now that is apparent. Love the NOLA love.

PWW going strong and Reggaeed out.

O is the one... I have to believe T5 has helped pull a rotation of songs, such a gift to be hearing them live again. Speaking of T5 great to see old and meet new peeps I never got to meet at T5. Thank you to the gentleman who found out the name of the Allan Tousaint song,  Basic Lady. I have been trying to figure that one out since NY. They played the same rotation of songs pre show that they had at T5, felt very familiar. Someone suggested it was one of the Roadies "get down to mixed tape" Love it!

I've seen three shows this week, all so different and wonderful, really impressed how they are just on and bringing down the house night after night. They are sounding so good. I had amazing video and photo ops and didn't once reach for my iphone... Had to be in the moment and take it all in. I can only imagine how they must be feeling. It looks like they are all having a blast!

Bring on High Sierra and SB bowl. Now I get to step into the great outdoors at two gorgeous venues.  :dankk2:

It will be just like the fourth of July all because...

Wow -- a new benchmark has been set for this tour. This one is going to be tough to beat.
Indeed.  That is quite an impressive set list.
