this song is just not the same live without the backup singers.

the version from louisville was far and away superior to the bonaroo version.

gonna have to bring the ladies on the road.
Is there a doctor in the house tonight?

Bigsky

or some horns to cover it...like they did at Bonnaroo

the tune really loses it's 'punch' without the ladies.

I would be OK with a recording of those song birds...

or even better...MMJ should hire the local female choir at all of their shows...there's an idea

now you're picking up what i'm laying down.

i hate the use of pre-recorded sounds at live shows.

i like the idea of some local ladies in the mix.

I wouldn't think it would be too hard for them to locate some local ladies to fill that roll.
And all that ever mattered will some day turn back to batter, like a joke.

Kid Rock used local, ahem "talent", to occupy various cages on his stage when I saw him.  Did I really just admit to going to Kid Rock concert???  Does it help that I went for free?  Does it make me a bad person that I actually found it entertaining? :embarassed:

In due time, it would be nice for the audience participation to take the place of the ladies.  Sure it won't sound the same, but this song begs for fans to join in.  That being said, the song is still relatively new, and is just in the beginning stages of being road-tested.  Give the tune some time...

I have a feeling that the Unstaged show will be an unfair barometer in comparing how the new material sounds live from show to show.

I volunteer to sing like a girl and put on a skirt  ;) if MMJ will let me be a part of their tour...I'll even pay my own way.
soft and warm all the time make you want it over and over

This is how I envision it.  We should all provide those "Whoa whoa whoa"'s.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Cow temperature.

Anyone else think that it's irrelevant, since they are using a prerecorded track (my opinion) for most, if not all performances of this song. Nice to watch anyway!!

e_wind

uh maybe if you enjoy lil wayne concerts you prefer recordings at a live show
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

WhereILived

I agree with having backup singers.
The audience in Seattle the other night filled the role quite well.

Such a great fucking show, I can't get over it.
