Pumped about the Band of Horses opening act and having a date in MSG again.

Not so pumped that I may have to wait until friday to get tickets.

Can't wait for this show. Should be amazing.

was some shakin' and some record playin'

if any of you supersleuths can find info about seating layout before noon tomorrow, that'd help.   Or is GA a no-brainer?   I guess I was worried about a whole GA floor being a shitshow.

lil sis

Def a NO BRAINER!!!  See y'all there!  Woooooooooooot!  :D

Phish was a seated floor for their New Years run at MSG last year, so I'm thinking a ga floor isn't a given.

Have to get my Sherlock Holmes hat on.

sleuth on sleuthers!

very curious about seating chart...yeesh...no time either on the turn around - boom announcement - pre-sale in less than 24 hours

Natonate99

was also wondering about the seating layout, would also be nice to know how much tickets are going to be

MMJ: CMAC, T5, Toronto, Red Rocks, Pittsburgh

Don't know if this has any bearing on the Jacket show, but Furthur has a seated floor for their show at MSG in November.

I hope it isn't seated so I can hang with everyone, but I'll be there regardless...

question... since this is the last jacket show of the year and in the largest venue they've ever played, do you all think it will be something more than usual? I'm really hoping this becomes a special even with all the bells and whistles

I'd like to suggest Stout NYC on W. 33rd St. for the pre-show get together. Less than a block from MSG, and has hosted many a concert pre-show gathering.

Some nice pics on their site. Here's a link:

I second that choice.  Excellent and close and perfect for a pre-show party.

i know this is really premature but.....

I've already gotten some good info on hotel from a forum-ite, but I came across a hotel called "Hotel Carter" in NYC thats only .5 miles from MSG and 90 bucks a night. Any reason that I SHOULDNT do that? Otherwise I'm taking the advice and staying on the other side.

If I was/end up  going solo I'm gonna stay at one of those hostels, though the idea of a hostel in the US is a lot scarier then the ones across the pond.

Nope, that was the Ginger Man, which was kind of a far walk away whereas this is stumbling distance from MSG (to calm anyone's nerves)..it's on the same avenue and street block as MSG...it's got an upstairs, it's huge..I'll probably work half a day and head up around 12:30/1.
