Just woke up after much some much needed sleep (left directly from Bangor, ME as soon as the set was complete last night, almost 9hrs til I arrived in NJ this morning). Last night was a genuinely unique experience. I dubbed the show as having a double edge sword felel to it. While it was amazing it wasn't the MMJ I was expecting to see. Usually there are acoustic or slower tunes peppered in throughout the set but OBH, Lay Low, Mageetah, Run Thru rock out so hard they really set the bar in my opinion for the way a live rock show/song should be. That being said, not getting to hear those songs was kind of a bummer but it was a truly special evening. Dondante was incredible! Love Tonight I Want to Celebrate With You as an opener. I bumped into Bo at dinner at the Sea Dog Brewery and put in the request for Cobra. He said it was going to be all greatest hits songs for the evening. Really down to earth guy. I think that was before Patrick got sick. The change of plans I'm sure was nerve rackign for the band but for them to do what they did is very cool and I'm so grateful I was a part of this. This was my 14th show across now seven states. You never know what to expect from these guys.... aside from great music of course.

It was awesome of them to go ahead and play. I respect them all the more for it.

yeah, it's extremely commendable that they played without that mad beast patrick. they still pulled it off it sounds like and that's awesome.  poor patrick, he loves the fans and playing so much I'm sure he felt like shit on top of feeling like throw up.  I promise you, if you ever see mmj again you will see those songs you mentioned and after awhile if you stay a fan this show, you will look back on as one of the most interesting jacket performances ever.  to me you experienced something that will probably never happen again.  ever.  it almost shouldn't have happened but it did.  those songs, yes mellow, embrace what you've experienced for it seems like real music.  and that my friend is hard to find these days.
