There is no higher compliment for the music I love than a shout-out from Neil Young, IMHO.  The fact that Neil can still bring it and be creative at his age is truly inspirational.

And then there's his generation-spanning social conscience from Ohio, written in the wake of my fellow students/protesters being gunned down in cold blood, to Living With War.  He is a truly special and gifted artist.

I've already seen Wilco open for Neil. I think the only thing that could top that would be MMJ.
The wind blew me back, via Chicago, in the middle of the night.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

MMJ has already opened for Neil on Jan 21, 24 and 28, 2009 in Australia, just a little while after the epic MSG NYE show.
Wish I was there.

Neil was my first show. 7th grade, Brendan Byrne Arena, 1983.

MMJ was my most recent show. MSG, 2011.

Life is good.

Is it too much to hope for Neil at Forecastle?

They were awesome! That tour was my first time seeing MMJ.  3 times with Neil, 3 times at the Big Day Out and 2 EPIC headlining shows.  All in the space of 10 days...
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

I can't believe that I bought Le Noise almost a year ago, and I still haven't listened to it yet.

The thing with me is when it comes to an artist as great as Neil Young, I need to be in the right frame of mind to listen to new music by such an artist.  It's a bit crazy that it can take so long, but it's nice to know I have that music waiting for me when I need it.

just make sure you play it LOUD when you finally get to it.  seriously, you won't regret it.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.

I don't think it's too much at all. I'm feeling like this is going to be happening, and I'm too excited about it! Guess we'll see when the lineup comes out in a little under four hours...tired of waiting!! The anticipation has been fierce!
