Madison Square Garden Pre-sale Wednesday

Due to the overwhelming response for pre-sale tickets to the My Morning Jacket show with Band of Horses at Madison Square Garden in New York, additional tickets will be released tomorrow Wednesday, September 21st through ticketmaster.com at 9:00am EDT.

If you know, or have a way of finding out, there's a lot of confusion in the NY thread about whether there's a single GA or "GA west" and "GA east". There are conflicting seating charts on Artist Arena vs Ticketmaster.

If you could possibly get to the bottom of this (and if there are 2, what we're buying in these pre-sales) that'd be most appreciated!!

the answer was that there is in fact two areas - GA West and GA East. Roll Call bought GA West.

Not 100% confirmed that the areas are seperate and no going from one to the other, but I think everyone here's assuming this is the case.

The SB Bowl had the GA section divided up into 3 areas for ticket sales, but no division at the show...

so I just talked to a ticket broker. She said that it's more likely than not that it'll all be GA at the show, regardless of what tickets say. Then again, she was trying to sell me some GA East tickets.

I AM SORRY if I create unnecessary stress with this post. I just encourage someone to get to the bottom of this - especially with people trying to trade GA East + cash for West - may not be necessary.

Here's my 2 cents:

It's been my experience with shows at MSG that whatever floor plan is shown on TM when buying tix, that's what the setup will be. This show shows two separate ga's, so I'm willing to bet, that's what we're going to see when we get in there. The clincher for me is the two types of ga tix available in the pulldown window for purchase. If it wasn't going to matter where you go, no way they sell two different types of ga's, imo. I'd say there's no way they're letting east ga's into the west ga section. Probably going to be some sort of different color wristband at entry to the floor.

I'd think differently if it weren't for two types of ga's being offered. If they only offered one ga, but had the floor divided into separate east, west sections, then I'd say it would be first come first served, and you'd be able to come and go between the two.

I guess we won't know for sure until someone actually gets their hands on a ga ticket. If there's an east or west printed on them, I'd say all the Roll Callers who got ga tix are going to be very happy! ;)
