This argument does my head in.  You guys might be somewhat jaded by the setlist, but consider this:  MMJ's last full set in Scotland was in August 2006, and their last festival slot was July 2008.  I don't suppose there were many complaints last night.
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

TVC15

It was an excellent set, my only criticism would be the middle section, Slow Slow Tune and a long drawn out Dondante didn't really do it for me, but that's nit picking.

I'd love a long, drawn out Dondante. Also, Many fans aren't as rabid as we are. They more than likely haven't been keeping up with all of the set lists since May 31st. I'm sure they enjoyed the concert. Truthfully if I had been there, I would have been thrilled to have watched them perform even though I've downloaded many of the shows from this tour and have seen them four times since May. I'm even thinking of traveling to Florida to see them two more times this December and I don't imagine that the set list will change all that much.

Just want to point out that the set list is for the fans at the show, not us here on the forums who check each and every one for change ups...

I admit I love seeing a curveball whenever a setlist comes out, but how many people at the show do you think have actually seen this setlist before?? I would guess very few, if any.

This setlist was arranged for a reason, presumably because it is how they wanted to present their new album to their audiences. They are still playing for new audiences, and it makes sense to want to play the songs in the way that they found best.

LA might be different but beyond that they're plying places that the summer tour didn't hit, so I wouldn't plan on it...

I would love to see IB4U again, so that's awesome.

Their European shows always seem shorter. Is their a reason? Early curfew? Did everyone love The Head and the Heart? They're amazing

The fact that my hearts beating, is all the proof you need.

A year ago or so I was on the other side of this fence, but now I have to say... If you don't like the set list don't go to more than show a tour. Easy solution.

The band came onstage at 8.30 and played till 10.45, think there is a 10.30 curfew so they over ran a little. To anyone complaining about the setlist, i've been waiting 5 years to see MMJ, they cancelled in 2008, so i was just grateful to see them at all!

To be honest "Circuital" is not my favourite album and the gig gets off to a kind of slow start and doesn't really get going till halfway through the title track. Would have liked more "Evil Urges" stuff, a fantastic album in my opinion and seems to be coming in for a lot of unfair criticism these days.

Might get heat on this one but I think "Evil Urges" as the show opener brings awesome energy

haha man....figured

Feel free to skewer me, but Evil Urges (caveat, with a horns section) is an awesome opener in my books

No skewering here, I agree. Though I still wouldn't choose it as my favorite.

I agree. It was An awesome opener. I also think its versatile and could fit anywhere, but VD is more if an opening song specifically.

I've been waiting for years to see the band and they didn't disappoint in Glasgow---loved it. There are just too many wonderful songs to pick from to get the perfect set list.
