What was "the curse" on Strangulation that was lifted.  Im out of the loop here, this is after the 04 BRoo show, their buddy had recently passed when they were in Europe, Carl and Bo had been added to the band that January. listen to the end of "How Do You Know" (track 8 ) here:

I'm pretty sure they just couldn't get the song right with the old lineup but with Carl playing the steel they were able to bring it up to snuff

Thought it could be deeper than that, Quaid invented those old cool slide riffs, seems like he could play um live when he had to.
