I can't believe I got tix for this fest at $100! So fancy pants!  Yay Roll Call!

VIP - that's too steep; $40 for the bundle, well okay, if you insist!!   :-* :-*
My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked

The "only single entries allowed" is new for Roll Call isn't it? We have always been able buy at least two tickets during the pre-sales with only one membership, are we able to do the same thing with the VIP entrance? I know it specifies the pit/soundcheck is only once entrance, but do we have to have two separate Roll Call cards? That would mean two separate (awesome) bear posters, certificate, t shirts and whatnot?

Apparently we'll be able to buy more than one Roll Call upgrade. With each Roll Call upgrade comes a pit access wristband, so more than one Roll Call card shouldn't be necessary.

my morning jacket to only play one night?  :'( thought they would be more involved in the festivities, not just the marketing and planning. don't want to be a debbie downer but feeling kinda bummed over here! totally expecting something completely different.  My question is what makes forecastle and mmj (other than they are the best band playing here and the roll call tix) a collaborative event? were they involved in planning the line up and such?

Looks like you can't buy single day tickets yet. If anyone catches wind or sees it posted somewhere let us know. I check this page way more than i check the forecastle site...

hopefully there's a huge yacket fan meet up, "excuse me while i go meet up with my internet pals"

NoVa_NoLa

Silly me...$150...I knew better than that.High Sierra passes were $40...BUT that only got you the Pit access for the day.

Soundcheck, pit access, poster and commemorative wristband for $40...yes, please and thank you!!

joey_rogo

ok, yeah, i think im gonna pull the trigger on this.

What more did you expect? They have the marquee slot - the moment everything in L'ville stops for a few hours and looks in only one direction, and it will by at MMJ. Based on the lineup, you know that other acts are coming on stage and the band will be on other stages during the weekend. Granted, Friday couldhave a stronger presence, I don't see whereelse the band would fit without cannibalizing something else.

This lineup had me at MMJ + Wilco, so I'm not complaining of disappointment. But to those who are, keep in mind Forecastle added the Pumpkins in 2010 after the initial artist announcement. While I'm not expecting it, it's not out of the question for a headliner-level act to be added later in the game.

bluesky

excited for all of you that are going!! :D would be awesome if Jim got up on stage with Dean Wareham!

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

e_wind or anyone who knows, have there typically been late night (or other club/boat) events on the Thursday before the festival?

there is MMJ meet up show that I'm currently planning, including my friend and yours Dylan (amilliondreams on here). Which will include funkier/groovier music later in the night. Its all local though, just a fun event...

but no there are usually no official pre party shows. In 2010 Beats Antique played a pre show the night before

Are the bands that play the late night shows already on the line-up pulling double duty, or are they totally different acts?

e_wind

different events entirely. separately ticketed. they will be announced late.

I won't be surprised if there is some headliner added on Friday or Sunday. Wilco and Bassnectar are huge acts, but with the home town advantage they don't even touch the crowd that MMJ will bring on saturday.

Who is the hidden gem on this line-up?

Friday does seem like it's missing something with how loaded Saturday and Sunday are.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.
