am i missing something here? didn't everyone bitch endlessly during the last tour over repetitiveness? doesn't this setlist follow the exact same pattern, but with less?  I mean yeah, War Begun is fantastic, but the set list doesn't really fall out of the "one or two rarity" pattern.

that said, december to may is the longest ive gone without a jacket show in over 2 years, so at this point i dont care what they play at Jazz or Forecastle
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I hear you, my brother!

Touring Japan, Australia, even returning to Europe in June, will really be part 2 of the Circuital tour, I think.  I'd like to believe they'll make a shift in July.  Forecastle will demand a special set, and Newport is going to be a game changer- for the band and the Folk Fest.  MMJ will tear the roof off of Fort Adams.  The next big thing after Dylan going electric.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Close johnny, but the world will be changed forever after the completion of their unannounced 4 hr set at Boogie over Easter!  ;)
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

I'll be more than happy to be wrong.  You guys haven't had any live Circuital tracks, though, and some of 'em are mighty awesome.  Its all good!

I'm really looking forward to hearing the circuital tracks live along with a healthy splattering of old gems and rarities!

But truthfully, I'll be happy with anything at this stage considering Yim is sick and it's only 6 days to the Sydney show...

Well, when you make an amazing album and are touring in support of it, your setlists are going to be pretty good.

After a quick examination of the archives, it seems that they played about 80 to 95% of the Evil Urges tracks in each set in 2008 and 2009.  Then, in 2010, they cut that down a bit and added in more stuff from previous albums.  So, do we have another year of Circuital-powered setlists?

I like Circuital.  Anything they make, to me, is indispensable.  Victory Dance is a hell of a way to open a show and I know I will long for it once the run is over.  In all, i really love about half of the album and the other half I'm pretty indifferent about.  For me, it would be great if when they came back to the US we got something more resembling their 2010 setlists with some Circuital sprinkled in.  However, I haven't been a fan nearly as long as many of you.  You've been getting those older tracks for years and the band has been playing them for years.  I'm sure it's a wonderful thing, for them and for y'all, to have new material.  So i suppose it makes sense that Japan has started off the way it has, and that we will probably get more of the same with a few alterations come summer.

Dude...they came back with a vengeance. The sound, the new progressions, the jams...Does anyone else get amazed by how often they manage to blow your mind?

That's quite an exit.

Has anyone listened to how fucking insane this show is?! It's like they just keep getting exponentially better, when you thought it wasn't even possible...undoubtedly one of the best Ive ever heard...

Just listening for the first time now.
I'm sorry, but who let Crazy Horse into that PWW??  The jams this band throws around now are just amazing.  The ONE complaint I've ever had about these guys, is that they just don't JAM enough.  Many parts seemed too scripted to me.  But through the grace of whatever divine supreme otherworldly intervention it is that's out there...they heard me and righted that track.  And the jamminess seems to grow with each new tour.  Me likey!
anything + reverb always = better
