i could see skipping it on the album but live--it's still incredible after all these years...it WILL NEVER GET OLD.. :)
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

The album version is best played loud in a car on the German Autobahn, same goes for Touch Me Part 2 as well as "Tonight I want to celebrate with you" the Las Vegas version :)

Hell, My Morning Jacket is the best music to listen to on long drives anyway :)

Ok I saw Rollin Back on this list and now I'm just questioning some folks sanity. I listened to ISM yesterday and pressed back after Rollin Back twice. It's amazing. It's my number one "white whale" to hear live
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I hear you!  scosby2 was nice enough to call me on his cell phone while he was at the ISM night of T5 and I was stuck here in NH.  The sound through our cell phones was HORRIBLE, but hearing Rolling Back even this way was awesome.  I remember standing outside, wanting to soar across the night sky to NYC and be there but, alas, I cannot fly.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Devil Ledbetter

At least we got the intro to Rollin' Back in Detroit this summer. I would have loved for them to play the whole thing.

By My Car is one of my favorites to play on guitar. Such simple but pretty chord changes.

I still can't sit through Two Halves. I guess the lyrics are just too facile.
We understand it's the '90s.

Fully

I'd skip The Day is Coming - although I don't think I've surprised many of you with that one
Two Halves
Sec Walkin
Aluminum Park
Moving Away
First Light on record - it kicks ass during a show even though the lyrics are dull.
and I'm graduating Touch Me, Pt2 to that position too. I've just heard it too much although I enjoy it.

Devil Ledbetter

I think to appreciate Aluminum Park you have to love '70s style glam rock, because that's what it is. Same with What a Wonderful Man.

Needless to say, I love early '70s glam. (Hate late '80s glam with everything I am, though. Go figure.)

Holding onto Black Metal = pee break every time.

The overdubbed background vocals and Bo's overpowering keyboard make this thing a mess live.  Almost insulting coming from the best live band out there - OMHO, of course.

Also don't care for Highly Suspicious - and OBH is turning into MMJ's One More Saturday Night - except it happens at almost every show, not just on Saturday.

Please keep in mind that I would endure 1000 of each just to catch a sweet Cobra, Bear or Bermuda Highway
What's in here won't disappear

I used to skip What A Wonderful Man until I heard it in person. Now  I no longer press that skip button.

CHIMMJFAN

Honestly for me Two Halves is the only one I really skip. At shows it would have to be I'm Amazed.

"He got tired of walkin' a tightrope"

It's funny, as I started this thread because I honestly don't think I'd skip a song if I was playing any of their albums.  Maybe during a shuffle of my iPod. Songs I can live without (a different standard than the premise of the OP)?

Sec Walking
Movin Away
Into The Woods
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Northern Neighbour

I don't usually skip songs, but songs I don't care for:

Sec Walkin' (I'm walking to the TV during this tune)
Movin' Away
Librarian
Day is Coming
Two Halves
Highly Suspicious - well, the end jam is fine
Outta My System
Slow Slow Tune - we don't need to be told that it's a slow, slow tune.  It's quite evident.

Thanks for finally saying what we've all been thinking about Slower than Christmas!

Not a fan of Circuital then, I take it?
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I will be in the pit in the Wiltern tomorrow with a musician friend of mine that Two Halves always reminded me of. I finally played it for him and he said, "Yeah, it is Merseybeat, one of my favorite kinds of music". He loved that song. Evil Urges was simply a venture into different musical styles. Smokin and Touch Me are the only songs that seemed inspired by themselves.

So in an effort to post to this thread, I listened through all the songs today (or at least the begginings) thinking I would come across something where I went, 'meh, I don't need to hear this.'. But really I didn't, if anything, because the songs I thought weren't my favorites are the ones I listen to least, hearing them made me think, 'hmm, this isn't bad at all, why don't I really like this song.'. So I got nuffin'.

However, a couple of songs I really like, appear to be almost unanimously unloved - Librarian and The Day Is Coming.  Really like Jim's voice on Librarian and The Day Is Coming almost reminds me of a prog/pop song.  I dig them both, but everyone's got an opinion...
Sisyphus - Just rollin' that rock up the hill, and hoping it doesn't crush me on the way back down..
