And now they announce a free show in New Hampshire...they couldn't come make it up to Nashville? My hope Big Herm is that they do make it up to us. After last year's Vandy show and then this, we deserve a stand alone show without an opener and with a Remnants. I'm so glad I went to Atlanta and am going to PC, but I find that I am very cranky about oct. 6. I was counting on that fix.

From etix site:  "Refunds for cancelled performances include the ticket price and the per ticket convenience charge(s), but do not include per order handling charges (if any) or fees collected for a chosen delivery option."

The "convenience" fee (FUCKING ASSHOLES.....remember when the smaller ticket companies were supposed to be an alternative to Ticketbastard's bullshit made-up fees?) for each ticket was $3.50, which we will get back.  The delivery fee was $4.50 and the order fee was $3.00.  (On the delivery fee....the last time I sent a letter to someone in the mail it cost $0.45, so what the hell are they spending that on?)  So that's $7.50 each that we paid to these cocksuckers all for the privilege of getting excited about a show and then having it cancelled.

I know $7.50 isn't all that much in the grand scheme, but goddamn it that's $7.50 that I earned at my job that I could have used toward a record or another show.  Some people may not care about that small hit, but we all did real work for that money, and these shitheads get to keep it for doing nothing.  Not MMJ I know, but these ticket companies are really fucking pissing me off and I need to vent.  There aren't enough expletive filled superlatives for the leeches at these ticket brokers.

The other thing I'd like to mention is that Soundland said ticket holders for this year would be able to purchase half price tickets next year.  That's a very nice gesture on their part, but I didn't buy tickets for this because of Divine Fits or any of the other bands I haven't heard of or care about, I bought tickets to see My Morning Jacket.  If next year's lineup is terrible like this one, and still no MMJ, I won't be there.  Just like I wouldn't have been there this year if MMJ weren't on the bill.

All of you guys who had hotel and airplane reservations, or had to jockey for time off work have my sympathy.  If I had all that to deal with I'd be livid.

Anyway, Soundland actually sent me back an email last night.  They said all refunds were issued by etix within 2-3 days of the announcement, but that the banks take a few business days to process the refund.  I appreciate their response and they were very conciliatory.  It just really blows that you can spend money these days, not get a product, and still have to be out any amount of money.

It didn't even occur to me that I wouldn't get a full refund. Not cool.

I got $67 back, 2 tickets were $70.

Could have been worse.

Yup, I got back $71.50 on 2 tickets at $74.50.  Definitely could have been worse.  Also could have been better if, you know, a show actually occurred.  And you're welcome for the $3 eTix!  Thanks for the memories!
