Just "found" the music of MMJ !! Love everything I've heard. My daughter put me on to them. She and I gig together, its the best bonding method ever. Does anyone know if MMJ are coming back to The Hop Farm Festival in the UK or have any other UK shows planned ?

Best guess from a 3 year American fan. They toured at least the past 2.5 years, 16 months of it after the last album. They just finished a fairly extensive European tour this summer. American fans pretty much feel the band has shot it's wad for a while, after all, 4 visits to LA in 25 months with 6 shows is pretty saturated. For your sake, I hope they pull something out of their hats, but don't count on it.

Thanks rincon, great to have an answer so quickly , sounds like they'll be looking to take a break. We will keep "alerts" running on ticket sites, follow their site and keep our fingers crossed.

Patrick said after Circuital was released that they were looking to do a 1.5 year cycle of touring after Circuital. This NYE show would just put them over that. Plus Jim has a solo record coming out that he has said he will be touring behind. PLUS, what Rincon said. I've been lucky enough to see them like 15 times since Circuital came out. Yes, I travel a lot, but still 15 times means they're playing my region A LOT.

I think they'll be breaking for 2013

The band will also be recording a new album sometime in the new year, probably in late spring.  Given production and advertising, the album may be out late fall.  As such, the earliest the band may perform is later in the year or early 2014.

While undoubtedly, the band needs and deserves a break, I can't help but feel sad.  No live MMJ 'til 2014 is heart breaking.  How will I ever survive? :embarrassed:
Give me a butt load of reverb on this one - just pile it on.

i'd be shocked if we ended up getting a new album before 2014

I also think the next album will be in 2014, although I could see the band doing a few shows at the end of 2013 where they would play 1 or 2 songs from the upcoming album.
