I just realized I will be in a dr's office getting a test run at that time. Damn. Let's hope that the person who is going with me can get the tickets.

I'm getting the feeling Ryman tickets are going to be hard to get.

I am too. It may be a stub hub night. Won't that be expensive.

Shug

Yes, I predict they will be a very tough ticket to get.  They will go real fast and you might have to take whatever you can get.  It will be worth the effort, though.  When they play acoustic, Chris sings much better, IMO.  I think its because he isn't screaming and he can hear himself better.  Those two nights they did acoustic in 2008 in NYC were great great shows.

wish I was going to Nashville, too, but we are doing Chicago for a few different reasons.

Shug, I looked on ticketmaster & Blackcrowes.com ( which BLOWS by the way ) and can't find the on sale date for the 2 Chicago shows.  Considering the Vic only holds about 1400  it's gonna sell out in less than 2 minutes.  I REALLY wish they picked th Auditorium instead.

Its this Friday at 10:00 AM or 10:13 AM? (weird, I know)  Its via Jam Productions, the company that books the mid sized venues in Chicago, (Metro, Riviera, Vic)

Hey, if you are going, Tater, we should meet up for sure!  LD and I are flying in from AZ.

Sweet,  Thanks for the info.  You doing both nights ?  If I score tickets I will probably take vacation time.  It's really hard for me to get up and go to work the next day when shows are on a school night.  I would be down for a pre-show meet up for sure.

Hell, yeah both nights!  I think we are gonna stay in the Mag. Mile area.  I stayed once at the Days Inn in Lincoln Park, want a bit nicer hotel this time.  Let's do a pre-show, got any suggestions?  We like old school classic cocktails, not really into beer that much.  I think we are gonna do subway/metro or cab it.

PS LD and I also enjoy a good old fashioned neighborhood/dive bar even if the booze isn't fancy.  Might have a better chance of finding a spot like that near the venue?

Oh dude there are a shit load of places. I'm from the far western burbs and don't get into the city as much as I use to but my bro works down there and I'll find out good joint with some character that we could get primed before the show.  I will talk to my boss and financial adviser ( the wife ) tonight about going.

We went to Chicago over the summer for the MMJ show at that amazing Pritzker pavillion...and we stayed at the Palmer House Hilton. That place was sweet and in a great location!!!

LBSUNFLWR

and yeah, I am debating which night of the Nashville shows I should try for first. Hoping to get seats both nights but i think the acoustic night will be harder to get! and special guests hopefully means LUTHER!!

I will be hitting Dallas, Austin(maybe), and New Orleans. I want to do Nashville but can't find anyone to travel with and just don't feel like going on my own. Not too worried about tickets selling out fast most of the shows are pretty pricey and I don't think  a Crowes show has been a hard ticket since the Hammerstein Ballroom reunion shows.

Taterbug

The ticket prices for the Chicago shows aren't listed on Jams website.

Its looking like all cities are around $60 - $70   I'm guessing Chicago will be about the same. That's a little bit higher than the last time they toured in 2010, but I guess not too bad relative to arena shows these days and we get to see them in small venues still.  Some fans are thinking that all the Jackie Greene fans will come out and make the shows more crowded.  I'm not so sure about that, but he sold out two nights here in AZ no problem so maybe he's more popular than I think, with all his Grateful Dead connections and stuff.  I guess we'll see.

Good luck to you too, Lucy! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks!  Good luck to you all, too.  I've got Allmans at the Beacon on sale in a few minutes and then Crowes in another hour, its gonna be a busy (and expensive) morning.
