That's a pretty good looking setlist for first night back.  I love the Sister Luck, Thick n Thin, Descending, High Head Blues, Hotel Illness and the new covers.  A promising start to their reunion, I'd say.  Looking forward to the next few shows to see how much they are mixing it up.

LBSUNFLWR

yeah, I like it too. Mostly old songs and also a Greatest hits..but with My Morning Song and Descending in there you will never hear me complain. And I welcome both Wiser Time and Thorn in any and every show!!

And Willin' is no doubt one of the best covers they do!!!

Also looking forward to see what comes, but understand with a new guitar player in there they may keep things simple at first??

Shug

Jambands.com reports that Jackie Greene played some mandolin, but it didn't say on which songs.  I'd guess Last Place That Love Lives and Whoa Mule.  That sounds cool to me.

sweet!!  will get on that when I get home.
And eventually keep an eye out for the SBD!!
Thanks!

Shug

You were right, sunflower, lots of repeats in the first few shows so far, surely due to having a new guitarist having to learn all the songs.  Still, they are throwing in some gems.  Sometimes Salvation, Space Captain, Oh Josephine.  Not too thrilled to see Garden Gate again, though.  Black-Crowes-as-square-dance-hoedown-band is not my thing.

I hope they get a few more songs into the mix as the tour rolls on.

 Agreed!!

I do love when they do Space Captain. And I hope by the time 4/20 at The Ryman rolls around they will have worked in a few more songs!! Regardless, I am thrilled to get to see them again after 2 plus years and am expecting special things for this only acoustic show of the tour, and night of special guests!!

Will definitely be purchasing tix for the Atl date tomorrow.  Tedeschi/Trucks sealed the deal with the wifey

Colfax

anyone going to the ATL show in April?

This band is hit or miss for me, although I see them often. I really miss Marc Ford. One of my top musical experiences ever was seeing them at the Fillmore in San Francisco with a head full of acid while they blared "Seein Things (for the first time)" with horns and backup singers.

I could feel Ken Kesey in the house that night.

Shug

I miss Marc Ford terribly, too.  You are very very lucky to have been at that awesome show.  Crowes on acid, I've never tried that, interesting  :cheesy:

Two songs from 3 Snakes at last nights show in Boston,  How Much For Your Wings and Bring On, nice!!!

Getting primed for Chicago next week!

Has a taping of that Terminal 5 show from April 5 surfaced?  I'm too lazy to look but would appreciate a link if someone found it.

Looks like they haven't got to the official release of the terminal 5 shows yet, but they usually put up every show on livedownloads.  Might be AUD recordings floating around elsewhere on the internet...  Probably won't be long until the official SBD recordings are released, I'd guess.

Thanks, Shug!  I wanna hear some of those covers.  Love me some Traffic, any way I can get it, and imagine TBC would do it justice.
