If it happens, we'll be there again.  I said at RR last year that this should be the annual pilgrimmage for the gang.

Unfortunately, I don't have high hopes that this will happen.

Take your negativity elsewhere, dood.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

Yeah, you're being a downer, man. Join the rest of us on the Happy Hopeful Sunshine Bandwagon, and make this thing happen with the power of positive energy!

Maybe we should go ahead and reserve the Sheraton Denver West.

I hope it happens, but the realist in me says otherwise.

GAH! This reality thing, always bringing me back to earth.

Did the realist in any of you think they'd play in 2012 after playing in 2011? I didn't think so...
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

It's practically a given! Almost certainly assured! Bet the house, the farm, the kids! Money in the bank! It's like the odds of the sun coming up in the east! Begin planning now for JacketFestWest 2012! It's a positively no-lose proposition!

(In my mind, anyway)

The power of positive thinking.
Give me a butt load of reverb on this one - just pile it on.

Most expected them to play in 2012 since they were touring.  It was pretty much a given.

Since we don't know when the band will tour again and indications they will produce a new record some time this year, playing RR this year isn't certain.

Man, cut it out with all of your extremely sensible, logical, and reasonable arguments, and let me live in my fantasy world, unencumbered by realism!

I'm with Crispy on this, NN. Go put on your green eyeball shirt and fly with us to fantasyland!

Yes, NN, you're really blowing my whole trip.

We've all heard that notion that your thoughts create your reality, right?  So, we just need to all agree on dates and plan to show up at Red Rocks at that time.  If we all believe it hard enough, the band has to end up being there then, too.  How can they overcome the collection of channeled thought by so many people all directed toward this specific objective.

Now this is the kind of silly, mind-boggling, vacuous flapdoodle I can get behind!

Can we all also wish that I will become a multi-millionaire on Friday night?

MrWhippy

OK, NN, on a serious note, Red Rocks 2013 might be more likely than you think.

While no one expects a full MMJ tour in 2013, it's likely they won't be completely dormant.  Some band members said as much when people talked to them at the holiday shows.

So, if they do something, what are the possibilities?  I don't think it's likely they would hit up the major US festivals again until they have another album, as they want to make a big splash when promoting the next record.

They could possibly do something like Forecastle due to the Louisville connection, or a show or run of shows in Louisville.  They could do a holiday run/new years, but they just did that, and they don't seem to do New Year's more than one year in a row.

So, another good option is a very special run of shows at a venue that lots of people might travel to, and what fits that bill better than Red Rocks?

I'm all for it Whip-ster.  Trust me, I am.  I would love to rock out and sing with you once again at RR.  I'm just not getting my hopes up to avoid any disappointment.  Just look what happened at PC to Carol and me.

I think you're still feeling down after a really crappy trip that should have been great for you. You need to put on those PC recordings Turn on Dilsnufus videos. Then you and Mrs. NN rock it out. It will make it all better. Let Daddy Jim sing your blues away.
