What song should they open with, that they haven't yet?

If you open with Strangulation there is just no where to go after that.  It's one of my favorite songs but I don't see at as an opener.  It would be like opening with Don Dante..ya know?

Not trying to diminish your street cred anymore  :wink:....you are one of my favorites here.

I know it is unconventional, but hear me out.  I am sure it will never happen and it makes for a pretty downer/ mind fuck set, but I'd love to see it!  I think the opening riff is powerful enough to grab the audience as an opener.

Picture this: You are on the rail deep within some hidden forest.  There is a certain foggy mist hovering over the stage as the sun sets.  Out comes My Morning Jacket and so begins Strangulation and a deeply moving set.

Strangulation
Run Thru
O is the One
I Think I Am Going To Hell
Smokin From Shootin
Touch Pt. 2
Movin Away
I Will Sing You Songs
They Ran
Rocket Man
The Bear
Steam Engine (drum solo -->)
Can You See The Hard Helmet
By My Car
War Begun
Carried Away
Slow Slow
Into the Woods
Knot Comes Loose
How Could I Know
Phone Went West

----------

At Dawn
Rollin Back
Just One Thing
Wonderful
Xmas Curtain
Mahgeetah

Mind = Blown.....

Haha, Just One Thing is quite elusive...
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

They've opened with this before I think but OBH would be a killer way to start a show. Especially a NYE-party type atmosphere, and it'd open up a spot for a different closer.

NYE at the Fillmore in SF, 2006!! Perfect opener for an amazing night. It definitely set the tone.
