Early entry for Roll Call?

So, it is 3 minutes after sale went on, already got my tickets. They are GA. Since it is unlikely that it will be hard to purchase these when they go on sale in a few days, do us Roll Call members get any perks besides getting tickets 3 days early when it won't be too hard for the general public to get what I just got? Not trying to be a dick, just wondering if we get in first, like the MMJ shows.

good question.   I'd like to know, but hope aren't high.

The last time I saw a will-call ticket show at the Royale (the boston venue), they opened the ticket window at the same time they started letting people in.   It was actually a DISADVANTAGE to have will call tickets if you were trying for the rail.

This is a great question, and with all these shows being GA, one would think that the Roll Call members should have some kind of advantage on getting in a bit earlier than GA doors.

itrainmonkeys

Doubt it. I've always had issues when it came to early entry lol

hiphopopotamus

I really hope they have an early entry for Roll Call.

yeah, i'm really hoping they do this too, but this could be a logistical nightmare.  for the Ogden in Denver, Will Call opens just an hour before doors, so i suppose they could have Early Entry 5-10 minutes before doors?  i just don't know if that could work...could be a mess.

I'm hoping for early entry as well, but I do think that the "competition" for good spots will be way less severe when compared to a MMJ show
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Wow; I never thought about that as a possibility.  Wishing I would have waited to buy tickets for the Dallas show now...

LA tickets are sent in the mail. Are others will call?

Okay listen RC members, one thing I have realized is that when it comes to these venues, you need to take matters into your own hands. They are clueless. Sometimes they are told there's a fan club who get a special line. They are not able to differentiate between RC members with WILL CALL and RC members with TICKETs. If they attempt to put you into two lines, find the person in charge and bitch and moan. RC should be one line of whoever is there first. Make sure you stay calm at the same time you're being a big pain in their ass. You have to tell them how to handle the lines. It's like that book 'Managing Up' ...If the mountain will not come to the Mohammed...you know...Bring a marker if you're intending to be up front (as in PC) and you and your rail buddies start giving people numbers.

YOU have to do the work. The venues don't care and there's usually no one who can help associated with the band (of course they're busy). Also, I've been known to lie and tell them I was President of the Fan Club, I've also been known to say I'm the President of their website (they don't know what any of this means--they're complete lies but no everyone understand the online community). Just make up something that sounds like you have power or access to the mgmt or the band.

No sense in worrying anymore, just go there ready to tell them how it's going to be.
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

In regards to Early/First Entry - We are working through the details with the venues to see about accommodating this.  Where this can be done, it will and we'll keep you updated!

This is what I did at the Wiltern run. I was the first one there every night and I made sure those of us that were RC, got in First.  It all worked out well for everyone; the staff did a great job, too!

Fortunately most of us learned at Port Chester that the venue is clueless...and most venues have no clue what laminate you are talking about...unless Eric Mayers is standing right behind them...which won't ever happen again

Crispy

What Penny, et. al., describe has been the case with every venue I have been to with a show having early entry, with the exception of the Greek, where I didn't arrive early enough to witness any confusion if there was some. At Red Rocks on the first day, I talked with the nice lady who was managing our entrance and made sure she passed along the fact that there was going to be an early entrance for fan club members, which of course she was clueless about. That was fine in terms of getting in line at the entrance, though their procedure for getting us into the place was ridiculous. And then the next day was worse, with the guy handling our line saying we were the worst group he'd ever encountered!

PC will call/early entry was a straight debacle.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Well, I guess I have you to thank. The Wiltern was seamless in every respect, except night one I was so rushed from work when I changed into shorts I forgot my wallet at home, 50 miles from the Wiltern. My friend still laughs at the look on my face when I discovered I had no cash, ID, debit cards, etc. Luckily they gave me the tickets based on my computer printed receipt that I did remember to bring. I invited a non-fan to the show, and he had to supply all the drinks and food for the night, at $27 for 2 beers.

same thing as port chester...thankfully we were at the front and made sure the line didn't move faster than we did

I just hate being told "Roll Call Early Entry: 6:30 p.m., Doors at 7:00 p.m." and then still be standing outside in line at 7:10 with no clue what's going on. I also don't consider going in 30 seconds before regular doors to be "early entry" haha.

I wish it was more organized and the security/staff/doormen knew about this stuff.

apologize in advance for all the noob ROLL CALL questions...but does the pass allow for a +1?
