Sad news Yac. A true peacekeeper, always wanting change for the better. I saw him with Michelle Shocked years ago at Carnegie Hall.

On his album "Nobody Left To Crown" he does an awesome version of "Won't Get Fooled Again"

He will be missed.

Loved Richie Havens and was fortunate to see him play live several times.

When my wife and I got married 19 years ago, our 1st dance was to a Richie Havens tune. 

Spinning Richie Havens records all night tonight despite all the new records I boughht Saturday on Record Store Day.

I was so sad about this.  I listened to "handsome Johnny" from Woodstock like 6 times on the way home from work... Then watched it once for good measure.  RIP.
