I think they played Wonderful about 13 months prior to the Circuital release.

What are yall thinking is the opener? Surely they won't do Victory Dance so I'm guessing its Wordless.

Wonderful was actually around about 3 or 4 years prior to Circuital. Jim played it at St. David's Church at SXSW in 2008 and quite a few other times as well. Said he never could quite find the right album to put it on until it just fit on Circuital...and I'm going with a Circuital or Off the Record opener...if they wanted to mix things up while still hitting the mainstream crowd up I'm leaning towards The Way That He Sings as an opener, might sound crazy but they played it on Letterman in 2010 right before T5 and definitely is the most mainstream of the not-so-mainstream songs...plus it makes for a good opener

-also played at Newport in 2008
-think they'll open with Circuital (and play VD, TWTHS, SFS, TMP2, Golden, WC, Wonderful, Dondante and OBH)

There's no doubt we are all getting VD at this show!

This DOES stand for victory dance and not venereal disease, right?

Perhaps both, Davymac. Perhaps both.

e_wind

both if we're lucky. that sure would be a memorable show... I mean it is a free ZBB show in the south, theres bound to be some regrets.

Regrets for some, opportunities for others. Just saying, I'm not planning anything of the sort except to not get arrested at Coca Cola World.

Ain't nuthin wrong with a little VD every now and then. I know some people hate VD, but I don't mind it so much.
20 times I wish you'd understand...

In regards to the setlist, especially a festival setlist, a few rarities aren't entirely out of the question

According to my brief research, Beale Street got The Way That He Sings and Phone Went West, Jazz Fest also got The Way That He Sings, Werchter got The Bear and full Run Thru, Hop Farm got Phone and Librarian, Newport got The Way and Bermuda Highway. Maybe if there's a song a song or two we'd all like to hear, a few twitter requests to the band will have them incorporate it into their set considering it may be their only concert until next spring.  :drum:

Maybe I'm getting jaded, but TWTHS isn't a treat in the way that its referred to here. I think it's the 2nd most played song they have, the first being OBH.

I've been in the same boat for quite a few years

I think I've heard it almost every time I've seen them play except for the multi night runs, but even then you hear it on one of those nights.

easy way

With Louisville being one of the Final 'Four on the Floor', I'm hoping for a nasty Cobra.

Also, as the show is outdoors in downtown ATL, lyrically Run Thru would be an appropriate choice.

Does anyone think Zac Brown will join in for a cover?

Isnt it a Pity maybe?  I'm indifferent to the thought, just speculation.

shockadow

If anyone thinks that we will be getting anything more than a greatest hits set...
Well, just don't...  They only have 75-90 minutes.

Still, how awesome is this?

The weather down here SUCKS BALLS right now but tomorrow morning it's supposed to turn around and be freakin' beautiful by tomorrow night.

MMJ takes the stage @ 7pm but it's GOING TO FILL UP BEFORE THEN so don't be too late fartin' around in a bar....

:cheesy:
O, How time flies, with crystal clear eyes.  But it's cold, it's cold, when you're ending with diamond eyes.

If we are lucky he won't. They've only got 90 minutes. Maybe they'll leave out Dondante too.

MrWhippy

Maybe they will run with the sports them and do a cover of "Eye of the Tiger."  Kidding obviously but if any band could wring some awesome out of that horrid song it would be MMJ.

Hell, they could probably even cover "We Built this City" and I would like it.  Ok, well maybe not.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

Well, I already got the setlist from Ryan, so...

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Haha nice.

I am hoping they wear full Louisville Cardinals Basketball unis on stage. Would have to be a "throwback" because I am not a huge fan of the camo. Maybe even put together some individual band member introductions over the PA and smoke machines when they are introduced. Tom could wear the white Colonel Sanders Pitino suit. Then they should play an exhibition game of "Bonus Sandwich" during half time on Saturday.

Wow who will replace Eric Mayers? Jackets Jackets Jackets Pones Pones Pones
