Jim James at Newport Folk Festival 2013

Very excited to be seeing Jim again at Newport Folk.       This will be my 4th time seeing Jim at this awesome venue and there is no artist who is a more natural fit for this festival.  George Wein seems to agree:

A fan as well as a festival favorite, Jim has captivated audiences at the Newport Folk Festival over the years while leading My Morning Jacket, performing solo as Yim Yames and as part of Monsters of Folk and the Woody Guthrie tribute band, New Multitudes. Whenever he's at the Fort, he doesn't leave after his set; instead he seeks out collaborations thereby adding to the festival's legacy of one of a kind performances. In addition to sitting in with his friends, he can be seen throughout the day walking from stage to stage simply to hear the music.

That's awesome Jim is playing however this whole unveiling of the lineup slowly thing and not announcing which day the artists are playing, is pretty annoying.

What a nice letter from the CEO.  Sounds like Jim could be there every year for a long time.

A full lineup would be nice though.
