MMJ Gift Ideas

With the holiday season around the corner, I'm beginning to think about what kind of MMJ-related gift I could get for my lovely girlfriend, who is equally obsessed with the band. I'm not talking about a t-shirt or a poster, or anything else available in the band's store. Nice stuff but I want something funkier. We've already got all the music, the DVDs, way too many posters, stickers, tote bags, flags, even those Guy Burwell wooden slate things, so I'm looking for something on the rare side, something she'd be genuinely surprised with. Can anyone think of anything? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Get married at the church where Circuital was recorded.

Ooooo, I like that! Was also considering a romantic romp through the Tennessee Fire silo.

You could always drive down I-24 toward Chattanooga and propose to her at the Tennessee Fireworks stand on the back of the TN Fire album, or if you are ready to take that step, buy fireworks.

I just picked up the He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special on DVD for $1.50 at Big Lots.

Jay Blakesberg's new book Jam would be a good accessory gift - perhaps you can propose to her at OBH?

With the holidays coming up, I just wanted everyone to know you can buy me the JAM book and present it in Mexico. I'll take you on a date with-in the resort.

Circuital came out around the same time that my mom's mom died, and for awhile my brother and I had been trying to push MMJ on my whole family. We took them to the Tuscaloosa show in '11 or '12 or whatever. When her mom died, she thought Wonderful was the best song she'd ever heard, and it led her to like the whole album. (Now, I have a  mom who loves Jim, and her last concert was Yani when I was like 10 yrs old.) Anyways, I got her a custom phone case with circuital artwork on it (but the purple one from the digital version with the different color "eye"s, and it said "I feel so wonderful." It was hands down the best gift I've ever given. She cried. Only time I've ever gotten anyone a gift that they actually liked.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Oh except another time when I got my brother tickets the Headliners Jim+Patrick show (I think the same xmas) and he thought it was one of the coolest shows he's seen by Jimmy, so that was good too. People must just love these MMJ people or something

I understand the OP ruled out T-shirts, but I figured this was a good thread for this, instead of starting another one. I designed this shirt from an iPhone pic at the wiltern I took. I think it is pretty cool. Just wondering if I had some made, only in black, if people would be interested. I would sell them strictly at cost of production and shipping, no profit motive here.

Thanks Mr. White. I have yet to produce any, as I want to see if there is an interest. I also inquired with the mods if this is OK, have not heard back yet. I have to order blanks, they will be Haines Beefy t's. My son's roommates father can print them at a fairly cheap price, so we are looking at about $14 plus shipping, which I have no idea what that is. I bet when you picked you name you had no idea there would be another Mr. White as cool as the R.D. one.

I will buy one as well!

That shirt looks awesome, nice job!  I'd love to have 2 3XL, if you can make em that size?  Let me know!  Thanks

Just so everyone knows, this is 100% computer generated image of the t-shirt. I need a prototype done. I just wanted a reaction and it seemed positive. I will make a prototype, and photograph it, and put it up. Then I will take requests via PM before I do a large printing. Glad people like it. I was going to just do L and XL, but I have been proven wrong. Didn't mean to highjack someone else's thread.

So, here is a pic I took at the Wiltern last year.

I rather like this shirt. I have a few available for a non profit price, if anyone is interested. Not quite sure of any final price because of shipping, but clearly under $20.

Looks great, Dale!
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

headhunter

Nice shirt is right.  Good work Dale.

I'm in, and thanks for going ahead and getting the shirts made!

By the way, which of the three nights at the Wiltern Theatre was this photo taken? (I got to see Todd Rundgren there in 1989 while I was stationed on the U.S.S. Robison in San Diego.)
Night one, the dark show. Really bad night for my ears. Did the next night all the way back, half and half the third night.

My little bro got me something like this, only with It Still Moves instead of Tribute To...

I prefer to collect autographs in person, but props to my little bro for such a thoughtful gift!  And on my favorite MMJ album, to boot.
We could.

I sent the t-shirt pic to a buddy of mine who refers to the band as My Morning Movement. I took him to the Santa Barbara Bowl show, he liked it, but not a fan. He had no idea what the pic was, thought it was an island archipelago. He turned down a freebie. Glad Mr. White, whether he be a bank robber, or a meth dealer, liked them. I have been making similar pics of some DBT shots I took, but they were deleted from that board, per policy. Here is my Paterson Hood Pete Townshend inspired pic.

Another shirt idea? Carl and Bo in Hollywood, 2011.
