I thought Outkast was a "novelty act". Do they actually have more than one song? How do they rate a "headlining spot"? This seems pretty sad (weak).

i guess they are a pretty successful novelty act with over 25,000,000 records sold.

...but do they have more than one song...?

Don't you ever turn it off

I'm quite happy with this lineup. The headliners are all top notch, then there's Sharon Jones, Gary Clark, Jr, Spanish Gold, Jason Isbell, Jenny Lewis, ACTION BRONSON-hell yeah, Slint, Sun Kil Moon, The Black Lips, Lucius, the Soul Rebels, reignwolf, Hayes Carll, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Seluah, The Weeks!   This will keep me very busy! AND BOURBON LODGE MEMBERSHIP IS JUST $20!!!!

I'm interested in Jack White, Local Natives, Gary Clark Jr., SPANISH GOLD!, and Band of Horses (I guess).  Is there anything else I should pay attention to?  Lucius might be fun, and Trampled By Turtles isn't bad (just too southern sounding for my tastes).

I really hope Jack White, Local Natives, and Spanish Gold play on the same day.

If those are the only 3 on the line up you're interested in, you're doing it wrong.

I can't help what I like and don't like musically.  If there's a band on the list you think I might like, by all means point me in their direction.  I want to see Jack White, and this is really the only way I'll be doing that.  I'm not doing anything wrong.  75% of this lineup is a snoozer from what I can piece together.  Bands like Spoon, Trampled By Turtles, Band of Horses, etc. would be worth watching if nothing else is going on at the time, but I find their music to be meh for the most part.

Like someone else said here (I think), this line up is unique if nothing else. Thats pretty damn important in the age of festivals that we're in right now.
Besides that, this line up is stacked. (I know this is totally subjective, but hear me out.....)
This line up, above all, is totally catered towards rock and roll fans. There are no EDM BS bands, there is no shitty hip hop (lil wayne or whatever), and there is no "filler" bands that play every fucking festival and are pretty bland (black keys, mumfords, hey-ho band, etc)

As far as bands that I like, that you should try out go...
Beck, Outkast, Jack White, The Replacements, Nickel Creek, Sharon MFin' Jones and the Dap Kings,Local Natives, Jason Isbell, TUNE YARDS, ACTION BRONSOLINI, Slint, Against Me (okay they've gone downhill), Sun Kil Moon, Sharon Von Etten, The Black fucking Lips, Spanish Gold, and top all that off with the Soul Rebels. Its quite a fucking line up, in my opinion.

Around the beginning of April they release what bands play on what days.  By the beginning of May you should know what the actual schedule is each day.  Also, they normally announce the late night shows at the end of May.

I hate to correct you but Action Bronson and Outcast are both Hiphop artists. It's ok, cause both are badass! If you aren't interested in the lineup, EC, just don't go. I'm staying home from Roo this year bc It's not my year. I'm going to Foreskin bc this lineup is good enough to get me there plus the $20 BOURBON LODGE MEMBERSHIP MUTHAHS!!! Ignorant Redneck, definitely not your festival this year. Maybe you can head down to Nashville for CMA Fest.

This is true but at least they aren't shitty hip hop acts! At least I don't consider Outkast to be shitty but I can't speak for Action Bronson.

I definitely enjoy the lineup enough for a 1 day pass. It could be potentially as good as last year.

It's going to be Outkast Saturday, Jack White Friday and Beck Sunday.  It's how the lineup is structured every year.

Two years ago bourbon lodge cost 10$ for three tickets. I would say that &20 unlimited is quite lovely.

Yes and no, depends.  We bought the $10 mug to have a bit of air-condition relief and a cheap souvenir, not drink.  This year we just need to keep 2 tickets so we can re-enter.

I disagree, I think Outkast will be on Friday and Jack White on Saturday.  I could be wrong, but Jack White rocks too hard to be the Friday headlining spot.  Probably a matter of opinion, but I always feel like the Saturday headliner is the most rocking of the choices (i.e. MMJ, Black Keys, Flaming Lips, etc.).

I would guess something similar to this:

Friday:
Outkast
Spoon
Twenty One Pilots
Action Bronson
St Lucia
Slint
Flume
Nightmare on Wax

Saturday:
Jack White
The Replacements
Band of Horses
Sharon Jones
Jason Isbell
Local Natives
Gary Clark Jr.
Lucius
The Black Lips
Spanish Gold

Sunday:
Beck
Ray
Nickel Creek
Dwight Yoakam
Trampled By Turtles
Tune-Yards
JJ Grey and Mofro
Sun Kil Moon
Jenny Lewis

I could be completely off, but I figured I would give it a shot.  Usually the hip hop acts fall on Friday, the rock acts on Saturday, and the southern acts on Sunday.  Granted, I'm sure there will be some mixture of everything each day, so only time will tell.  I just noticed Jenny Lewis is on this lineup as well; my girlfriend will be happy to see that.
