Cloud Nine has this covered. You pay $1300 and they hook u up with someone else traveling solo. I did it this year. My roommate was a perfectly sane guy. Call cloud nine. They will clarify.

Thanks for that. I'm a bit of a planner and I hate not having details set. I'll give them a jingle on Monday.

There is PLENTY of time. OBH1  was only about 60% sold, and I am sure the majority did not commit in the first 2 months. I truly doubt this will sell out, and if it does it won't be until October at the earliest.

It's hard for me to understand how anyone would NOT want to go. My experience at the Port Chester shows was so phenomenal that I can't let this slip by...

I don't think there is anyone here who does not want to go. There are factors involved. Financial, occupational, and family related. I would guess a fairly large percentage, over 30%, who went last year are not planning to go. Some might feel they don't want to attempt to recreate a special memory, cause it sometimes tends to disappoint, especially at that expense. All I know is, I am not going without a rental car to get out of the artificial Mexico, without paying for an excursion. I also want some days after to check out some of the less fancy, ON THE FRIGGEN SAND resorts.

No question this is an amazing event for fans and the cost, $1300+ for 4 nights of music, food, drinks, at a seaside-ish resort is a good deal. Add airfare and tips and its still a good deal. However, as a teacher, currently underemployed, and father of three elem. age kids, its hard to have that kind of money and find care for the kids for 5+ days. Its why I couldn't do the first OBH. This year is different, only because my Dad passed away in April, leaving a healthy inheritance to me and my sibs. We still haven't figured out who can and will watch our girls for this, but my wife and I have only had one kid-free vacation in 18+ years of marriage (Paris & Brussels in 2006), so this feels justifiable. It will likely be a long time before we'll be able to do something like this again for another long stretch of time.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

You need no justification or rationalization. You will be the unofficial Mayor of the Maya! A secret celebrity. Hope I really can make it also.
