For those going to OBH in 2015, there is a full moon scheduled on Tuesday Feb. 3rd.

By the ocean, under the stars, listenting to the best band and dancing to the music under a full moon!

LOL there's a good cover song:  Sly and the family Stone "Dance to the music"

This is the perfect song for that scenario. And they could really pull it off.

Yes - they could!

We should come up with as many songs about the moon as possible.

Harvest moon comes to mind.....
They played that last year. It was the only song the whole time where it was raining. They were big fat warm drops. it was awesome. Weird, started raining at the beginning of the song, and stopped as they finished, unless my memory is playing tricks.

Bulldog

Its not, it was awesome......and I'd go for a repeat of it any day of the year.

Harvest Moon:
it's probably the perfect song, albiet a harvest moon is usually in October or September.
One of my all time favorites.

Pink Moon - Nick Drake
I wish I was the moon tonight -  Neeko Case
Me and the moon stayed up all night (I brought the whiskey, he brought the light) - Gaelic Storm

Which style? Classic, or The Marcells? Very different versions of the same song. I see them doing the classic version quite well, the 50's version as a huge lark.

I humbly suggest Smog Moon by Matthew Sweet.

Wow, I like Matthew Sweet, don't know too much of his music, so this is a new one for me!

Blue Moon...Classic is the best since I think Carl is classically trained.

MATTHEW SWEET
Smog Moon Lyrics

There's a smog moon, in the amber sky, wavering and burning like a golden lie.
I fell so far, I didn't think I'd make it back
We are all made, as an afterthought,
Destined to believe that we are what we are not
I'm afraid, but I don't need to tell you that
There's a smog moon coming I can always feel it
The cartoon trees cannot conceal it
When it's high up in the sky, it almost looks like it is white
When it's high up in the sky, it almost looks like

There's a lost man, with a bitter soul, Only for a moment,
Did life make him whole
And while he was, he thought he was invincible
There's a smog moon coming I can always feel it
The cartoon trees cannot conceal it
When it's high up in the sky, it almost looks like it is white
When it's high up in the sky, it almost looks like it is white

They're not your words, but you're reciting the lines
You don't mean a thing, but you exist in their minds
How does it feel, when they have turned out the lights?
'Cause you know they sooner would get rid of you, than fight.

And the dark night, has the strongest pull
We both know that staying young, can take its toll
Are you afraid of finding out you're over that
There's a smog moon coming I can always feel it
The cartoon trees cannot conceal it
When it's high up in the sky, it almost looks like it is white

Wow this really is a beautiful song, and yes I agree with you.  Jim could sing this, but in my opinion, I would have Carl sing it....I don't know why, but that's what I picture in my head.
