The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Hello, everyone in Forumland (especially those in Nashville)
I've been scouring websites and left messages at The Basement but can't seem to find out how to get tix for this show. I've got a hotel room booked, tix to the show before Carl's show that night, and me and my lady friend AKA-IMeMine(forum handle) are driving Chicago to Nashville for her birthday, to see CARL!!!
1)Is this a first-come, first-serve, tix-at-the-door show/venue?
2)If it's not, can anyone in Nashville hook a brother up w/ 2 tix?
3)Its IMeMine's birthday, and I've got a broken foot and 2 sprained ankles. So any help/info would be MUCH APPRECIATED. We could REALLY use this one, BAD !

Cheers, please and thank you in advance,
Tippitoes22 & IMeMine

P.S.- GO TEAM CARL!!!

Them that don't know him won't like him and them that do, sometimes won't know how to take him

Fuck yeh! The vids from that show and the lolipop vids were all IMeMine, and I snagged the setlist from that benefit show your talking about, that Carl played in Chicago. Carl RULES! Don't get me wrong Yim is the man, but Carl adds so much shit to the band and there sound, ppl don't even realize. There is So much color and depth and instrumentation he brings to the table. No "Victory Dance" w/out him. He hits those notes in the stratusfere that Jim can't. And "Carried Away", forget about it! GO TEAM CARL!!!

P.S. "All Birds Say"-(Carl's solo album) is my new Pet Sounds...

I was curious so I poked around and found it pretty strange there isn't really any ticket info at all.  Even on Carl's website the show has a "Buy Tickets" link and it brings it the Basement Calendar page with no option to buy.  This was the most info I found:

http://www.nashvillescene.com/nashville/carl-broemel-w-whisperer/Event?oid=4502522
Carl Broemel w/Whisperer

Price: $7
The Basement

It seems it's a cash at door show but I think calling the venue might be your best bet to find out for sure.

Fully

It's a very small venue. They aren't selling advanced tickets.

I went to Grimey's this morning.  They aren't selling advanced tickets.

Just got back from the show...truly incredible! Started off slow...but built up and up and up and up and up and up into a full blown monster.  Tommy was on bass.  Tim from Truth and Salvage came out and did a song. Everest was there.  Nashville was there.  Music City USA lives. It was a treat!

Set List:

Retired
Coffee
In The Dark
On The Case
Best Of
Landing Gear
4th Of July
Sleepy Lagoon
Carried Away

Encore:
Walk On The Wild Side (Solo)
God damn those shaky knees.

The set list looks awesome!
He played Sleepy Lagoon in Chicago at the M@Show.  I think he should play it in Mexico being that there is a lagoon.

Sounds like it was an awesome set. Wish I could see Carl play a solo show.
How loud can silence get?

so...we drove down to Nashville and had a blast:)  I'm so happy we went, it was completely worth it- awesome venue, awesome people, great music.  Your description of the show DaFunkyPrecedent is right on...it was truly incredible! and that Carried Away was up there, for me, with Port Chester.
