Honestly I really dont care cause I am SO EXCITED to share any of these songs with all of you!!!

It happened in 2013, just in time for a tidal wave of whiny Parrot-Heads (Jimmy Buffet fans) and Phish fans.  As a person whose been dragged willingly and unwillingly to numerous Phish shows, post my Grateful Dead touring days, I have arrived at the opinion that Phish fans are, as a whole, some of the worst people on the planet. Nitrous mafia, crunchy, Guatemalan-patchwork-pants wearin', ignorant of the covers their "favorite band" is playing (example 1: Phish Fan-"I love when they play Cities." Me- "that's cuz David Byrne is a GENIUS." Phish Fan- "whose David Byrne?" example 2: Phish Fan- with blank stare on face "what's this song?" Me- "It's Shine a Light, off Exile on Main Street." Phish Fan-"what's Exile on Main Street?" Me- "It's a Rolling Stones album, arguably considered, front to back one of the most influential Rock-n-Roll LP's of all time" Phish Fan- ...silence..."Oh"), music for the sole purpose of taking drugs to, well you get the picture." Obviously they are talented musicians, but they know who their fans are. And if you're a Phish fan and reading this, you're excluded, because YOU obviously listen to other music. If I sound pretentious, that's cuz sometimes I am. BUT COME ON. Anyway...they shouldn't have changed the venue.

Just one guys opinion 

I've been to a few Phish shows.  I would say 10 or so.  I do understand what you are saying about their fans.  While some of them are a bit older, more mature, and very much into the music and the history of it all, the majority are probably there for the party.  That said, it's never really bothered me because that's pretty much why I go too.  I really don't find a whole lot of meaning to most of trey's lyrics.  To me it's about fun and ridiculousness.  POSSUM! 

When it comes to the Jacket, though, it's a whole different kind of approach.  I may dabble into the performance enhancers from time to time but only to get closer to what Jim is trying to say.. to me.  It's really nice of the rest of you to show up and watch us communicate though, makes it less lonely when he turns his back and starts playing on Patrick's stand.
