hopefully they will hit up the west side of the u.s. no texas, cali dates? but multiple dates in several east states. oh the fucking humanity
The time is near, to come forward with whatever killed your spark.

I think it's a given they will go to the west coast.

It seems like the festivals in NYC and Boston have kept them from doing any regular shows within a 5 hour drive of me. Was hoping to avoid the festivals.

Whatever, here's to new tour dates

Seriously, no Philly dates???  I can't even explain how sad this makes me...I'm going thru MMJ live show withdrawal ever since OBH.   And about these XPN fest rumors, I would rather MMJ NOT play Camden ever again.  I saw them there a few years back and the acoustics are so bad there in general that I would rather them just not play at all.  It didn't even sound like an MMJ show to be honest.  I would love if they could squeeze in a show at the Mann again, they were great there, but I feel the chances of that happening are slim to none.

Thank goodness I can look forward to seeing them at Bonnaroo, but really I was so excited to see them headline a show....!

how is the venue in columbus?  the fact that floating action is opening those shows makes it really tempting.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.

I think there's a potential for a Mann Center show on 7/23 or 7/25 - it seems weird that they'd have 3 open days in between Lewiston NY and Merriweather PP.  I remember a few years back MMJ played the Mann a day or 2 before MPP, so maybe there's hope they'll do that again.  They're playing Lewiston NY on 7/22, and then nothing is scheduled on 7/23.  There's a show Mann Center has Diana Krall on Friday 7/24 so that's out.  7/25 is when XPN Fest would be, so my guess is they'd probably headline Saturday at XPN before going to MPP on 7/26.  Here's hoping for a Thursday 7/23 at the Mann Center!

Can we assume that the Chicago Theatre stop will be "No Repeats" as it seems like the centerpiece of the theater/non-festival tour?

hmmm, I would say that since this a tour supporting an album that you could hear tracks from The Waterfall repeated.

Good point on the promotional angle. I wonder how they might word "No Repeats for Old Stuff but YES on Repeats from the Waterfall". In all of 2011 after the Circuital release I believe they did not have more than 1 night at any venue so hard to predict what will be.

Tour opener @ Georgia Theater... capacity ~1000... so stoked! Those pre-sale tickets will be gone quickly. Hope I get me some. Any word on purchase limits? Usually limited to 4 but I would not be surprised if it were 2 for this show.

Clarkwork

Are you limited on how many shows you can purchase for?
If you don't know for yourself, how could you ever know for me....

I am 95% sure they are playing Newport Folk, which is why there's a blank block of dates between 7/22 and 7/26.

WOW.

Never in my wildest dreams did i dare to hope and pray for a 3 night run at Chicago Theater.  With all due respect to the capitol theater, which is very nice, the Chicago Theater is just plain better in almost every way.

Add to that:  It will be summer and not winter.  It is more centrally located for MMJ fans throughout the US and near two airports where you may commonly find great deals.  It is during the week so hotel prices should be lower.

Add to that:  They are also playing multi-night runs in Minneapolis and Detroit, and a single night in Milwaukee, so this will take some pressure off of the ticket scramble.

Guys, this is DEFINITELY the centerpiece of the tour.  It's Jacketfest Midwest 2015 is what it is.  The only way this gets better is if they announce no repeats and i honestly think it will happen.

Wonder what these VIP bundles will be all about. Premium seating?

Are you talking about the Roll Call VIP option next to the ticket purchases?

If so i'm assuming that is simply the soundcheck/poster package that they do for some shows.

brn2plybal

I definitely think Newport is happening for MMJ.  I'm also hopeful that we'll get a New Basement Tapes set at Newport too.

Can you give details on the Chicago Theatre? Haven't been to Chicago in forever, so pumped for this! No general admission I'm assuming? Nearby hotels?
