So cool they are doing 5 new cities with 2 or more shows. Joining Denver, L.A, N.Y. and Mexico for that no repeat amazingness. I here rumors SF is getting multi nights? Even if I can't make it up there, better to give SF this treat before LA gets a second one.

Yes, it's really cool other cities are getting multi night runs.    I'm hoping the multi nighters continue to be a part of every tour,  with even more of them going forward.

I've heard a Philly rumor in addition to that SF one, and sure hope they're both going to happen.

They haven't said no repeats which makes me wonder. Since they are promoting a new album,  will these shows be no repeat shows?

I really hope they are. ::)

Me too, and I think they will be.  at most maybe a couple of new tunes get repeated on this run's multi nighters  but I doubt anything else will be. I'm leaning more towards not even the new ones get repeated.

I don't really think we'll be getting any official announcements either way, but Chicago is early on in the tour, and we'll know soon enough.

Once Chicago and the first 2-nighter happen, i think we will have all the answers we need going forward.

I've been waiting for them to unleash this type of schedule for a while now, but was probably overzealous in my early expectations.  They finally have the catalog and the fan base to pull this off and as long as they keep making good music it will continue to grow.

It's really actually kind of amazing to think that Jim is only, what, 36 going on 37?  7 (8) full length albums to work with and counting, and no signs of slowing down.  You look at a band like Phish that got absolutely massive, broke up for 5 years and could have been done for good... i just don't see something like that happening to MMJ.  Each of those guys seems to have way too level of a head on their shoulders to let things get out of control for themselves personally.  Add to that Jim's relentless work ethic and endless creativity....it's good being a jacket fan :)

I believe I read somewhere here or on an MMJ Facebook page that in Mexico Carl told someone to pretty much assume any multi night run will be no repeat from here on out. That is generalized of what he said, but I believe that was the specific point. The band knows most of those crowds go to all shows. 3 nights at the Wiltern had no sell outs, but the bulk of the crowd went to all 3 shows.

Here's hoping the no repeats extends to back to back shows in one state (Raleigh/Charlotte). Don't mind hearing new tunes repeated, tho. Gotta get to know them live.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Carl told Mr. Whippy, and me  pretty much exactly that after the Sandy Benefit show in Asbury Park at the end of the last tour.

Very good news for all those in the double show towns, and ESPECIALLY Chicago.

Agreed, and why with the exception of single shows close to home, my traveling to shows will mostly focus on multi night runs.

I'd love if they did a multi night run at Edgefield in Portland, OR.  That place is magical for the jacket

I'm with gardenparty!  would love for them to do a few nights at the Edgefield.  I was there in 2011, and will never ever forget it.  I don't see Portland on their 2015 schedule.

I noticed Chicago and Detroit start around 7-7:30pm, but Columbus starts at 8pm. I'm assuming that puts Jacket on around 9 or 9:15, so is Columbus getting a shorter set or does that city have a later curfew?
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

In my experience start times in Detroit are VERY loose.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.
