wonder why st vincent didnt come out for the encore.. would have been really cool.

I wonder if she was beat or flew the coop.  She played in Edmonton, Canada friday...came to Camden Saturday and back up to Ontario for Sunday.  Odd travel arrangement for sure.  I agree, it would have been awesome to see her shred with the guys.

We need to talk about this show some more. Granted I was front row center, I just ffelt like they really brought the energy. I loved the way it started, loved the way it ended and loved everything in between.

Something else that was a treat was being front row reserved. (Thanks again mmj presale) Everyone is doing all GA in the front these days so to be able to watch a show from there without having a hundred people pressed up against you and be able to leisurely stroll to your seats was awesome. I was pretty centered and I gotta say it was a little weird being that close bc st Vincent was right in front of me.  You almost don't know where to look all show bc you don't want to seem like a fanboy/stalker/weirdo trying to stare into a strangers eyes.  But if you say look 1 to 2 feet lower down, you don't want them to think you're staring somewhere else especially since it's a woman in a crazy mesh skintight catsuit. So you just kinda look a diff spot every 3 seconds. Weird to explain I guess but glad I didn't have to worry (maybe worry a bit strong a word here) about this with mmj as they split the uprights w each guy flanked to the side.

My buddy I went with had tweeted first light for spontaneous combustion so who knows if that had anything to do with it or that was just a coincidence. Either way we were pumped.  Still can't believe the way they started and the jams we got. Just pure rock n roll. Can't wait to re listen. cant wait for November. I thought they were tight Saturday, they're gonna slay it then.

Anyone here a huge st Vincent fan? She's awesome and I've seen her live a few times but don't know super in depth her live shows. I swear in the middle to late middle at the end of a song she sang "someone to hear your prayers, someone who care" from depeche mode's personal Jesus. Is that something she always does on that particular song or she just throwing it out there?  Also a song where she came down from her blocks I think they forgot to turn her mic on so she sang the first verse w no sound, twirled around and started over.

Agreed with all the above, but Lay Low was the best song played on Saturday imo.

anyone else sore right about now from last night ?

I'm apparently really out of shape or used muscles that I haven't used in a long time, haha. My neck is STILL killing me from the head banging. Wow. I could not control my body, it was that rockin'.

Did anyone else have grumpies around them in their area? I had a grumpy lady staring me down the entire show. Guess she had never seen anyone dance that crazy before but ummm you're in the PIT at a MMJ show. WTF?

OMG you and me both!  The gym never does this to me...  I was 5th row stage left and honestly more people were dancing than I expected.  You never know what you are going to get with a festival crowd...I got my tickets by pledging to be a member of XPN-which I have been in the past.  But there could have been lots of noobs that just got tickets from pledging.  By comparison, the Grace Potter show on Sunday was verrrry tame where I was.  She rocks for sure, but most of the crowd was sitting down or videotaping the whole damn thing because Grace was wearing less than St Vincent.  lol

my neck and legs are still sore.. 3 days later

Grace Potter likes to show off her gams. God bless her, I would too if I looked like her. But more importantly she is truly talented, she blows me away every time I see her. I would LOVE to see her do something with the boys.

This made me laugh out loud, so funny. Yesterday I couldn't look all the way down. Pitiful.

What a great show. I must say that Jim has truncated his dialogue a lot - even since the Mann show when he talked about the anthropologist discoveries in Philly (or even better - getting preggers from the amount of bass). Anyway, always love when they pull out Phone Went West!

Apologies if this has been asked - I was sitting in the center next to a guy with the pro taping setup. Anyone know if the show is posted anywhere? It's not on the set list page or archive.org (although Merriweather already is)

I'm still reeling from the show. Really hoping we get the audio taping, would love to listen again.

Any info regarding a Fall Philly date, or did that fall through?

Also, was a poster never designed, or never delivered? If it's the latter I'm hoping it will pop up online.

First time on the rail as well!

The Camden poster was on the merch list but never delivered. I checked several times to see if they showed up but no such luck. One of the vendors showed me the merch list with all the items listed, and posters were on it.

Whether they were actually made is anyone's guess but I would think if they were on the list to be sold they're most likely out there somewhere.

I'll be keeping my eyes out for them showing up someplace, maybe even at other shows or in the Roll Call store here. Fingers crossed......

I asked the merch peeps while they were setting up.  One was quite friendly and explained how the set up happens.  She said the same thing--posters were on the pick list, but "never got delivered with the other items".   Crossing fingers as well...

I'm a fan now--she killed it Saturday.  I did take a peek at setlists, and she pretty much runs the same show every night with 1-2 changes it seems.  She covered Dig a Pony the next night, for example.  I also watched some youtube clips and the same routines are performed there.  Not to minimize what she/they do--I really enjoyed it.

Also worth noting is that Grace Potter changes up her setlist on par with most "jam" bands.  I was impressed to see that.
