I can assure you, you won't have any problem in the DR. Went there on my honeymoon - cakewalk.

25 % of the food was very good but you had to hunt for it. The chicken enchiladas at Frida's are wonderful but the f***ing place didn't open till 5:30 pm The omlettes at the breakfast place were ok/good.

Just my f***ing luck if they do move it as I FINALLY figured out how to hook up with my lady M. Jane in PDC. Still tripping on how easy that went down.

The Jacket were in 'top form' all three nights.  Good job Gents.

While I understand wanting to freshen it up every now and then with a change of venue, I wonder if the drawbacks I consistently hear voiced by Panic folks about the DR venue are the worth the sacrifice of convenience.

From what I understand, the flight to DR is considerably more expensive, and pretty much takes up an entire day. From Denver, I would have to fly the same amount of time just to reach my connect in Philly as it took to get to Cancun. Airline time is anything but a vacation - I'd like to see it kept to a minimum moving forward.

I also hear nothing but gripes about standing on sand for four nights of concerts. I'd guess it's second only to having sex in the "worst things to do on a beach" category. Playing a game of flag football and blowing out your knee before you ever take an NFL snap is probably up there too.

I would also hate to lose the proximity to beautiful beaches and unbelievable food found in Tulum. This event demands a vacation from your vacation, and the 1-2 punch of RM/Tulum is pretty damn hard to beat IMO.

You're absolutely right about the flying issue bodiefire2001. Our flights to the DR were twice as expensive (also flying from Denver) and had to spend the night in DC for a lay over. Basically it added 2 days to the vacation that we consumed by traveling. And I feel like an ass complaining about dancing in the sand cause it is pretty special. What's really cool is standing just slightly in the water (about halfway up your calf) and dancing. You just have to watch out for all the yahoos who feel the need to pee in the ocean next to you during the music. And on the flip side, I'm really curious as to what C9 is going to do with Panic next year. I'm nearly 100% positive they're not going back to the DR. So, I think it would be a REALLY hard sell to the bulk of the panic kids to not have the stage on the actual beach. I think my wife and I are of the minority that complains about dancing in the sand. I guess we're just getting old

This was my first experience at an all-inclusive resort. The food was pretty underwhelming but not terrible. Drinks and liquor selection were better than I expected. Our room was great but did anyone else have poor water pressure in the shower? Man, it was like a slight trickle in our shower. The GF ended up using the sink for her hair each day. Overall the room was great! Very comfortable.

Though I love travelling to new destinations, I wouldn't mind a return to RM. Because it is such a major destination worldwide, flights are priced very reasonably and travel times from the U.S are fairly quick and painless. But in the end wherever they go I'll be there!

you may get luckier to piecemeal it and find a British Airways special to JFK and then book a separate ticket from another airline from JFK to one of the other destinations

.. its an option yes but would prob add too much to cost, theres a way to go yet  but RM/COSTA RICA/VALLARTA MEX look cheaper and easier but suppose its gonna depend on pop response

I'm all for returning to the Rivieria Maya.  It's a great location - the concert venue worked great, the sound was superb, food selections were good, you just had to know where to go, the booze selections were great, and easily accessed.

But the reason for me to stay in RM is it's easily reached from the pretty much anywhere in North America, which is probably where 90% of the attendees will be coming from.

I'm coming from the West Coast, and a flight to the DR would be a whole day excursion (along with the flight back), which would add days and costs to the trip.

Just my two cents.

Can't wait for the downloads from OBH2, and can't wait to see MMJ at Red Rocks in August!
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

The Roll Call reservation codes for OBH3 (which will be taking place at the Nauthólsvík Geothermal Beach in Reykjavík from Jan 30 to Feb 3, 2016) were emailed to those who ordered The Waterfall Deluxe 8-Track package.  I got a Concert Courtyard Igloo!
