They were booked to play at the joint at the hard rock in 07 or 08, and cancelled for an undisclosed reason weeks before. I had flights and a room at the hard rock booked. I'm still salty,

Jeez Walter, remind me to NEVER make plans with you to see a Jacket show!

I like to gamble every so often but betting on you and Jacket shows seems like an all or nothing kind of thing.
"Where's Jim going?"

Really hoping jake gets the Santa Barbara bowl poster, since he has strong ties to the place. He did their official logo.

Has anybody been to this venue? Looks smaller than some others on this tour.  I am not a big fan of Las Vegas but bought a 2-day ticket and will make a weekend trip from San Diego. Guessing these shows will be no repeats with a lot of other travelers there for both nights.

My friend who lives in Vegas said it's a great venue, fun scene, and about 2,500 capacity.

Just got my tickets for the 10/10 show. In case my friend decides not to go, I will have 1 available for sale or trade for 1 GA ticket for the 10/9 show. I will let you know.

Just saw Umphrey's play there twice last weekend.  Venue is A+ in every way.  Probably the nicest venue of that capacity in the country.  Capacity is around 2,000, but the venue itself is fairly large so it won't get packed unless you're right up infront of the stage on the floor.  One of the best sounding rooms i've been in.  I believe the venue is only about 2 years old.  There is a Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn and London as well.  Peter Shapiro runs the venue.

I highly recommend eating at the restaurant inside.  Probably the best fried chicken i've ever had.  You should be able to go in during the day and eat.

The venue is in a alley way right off the strip between The Linq and Flamingo.  Lots of shops and restaurants next to it.

We saw Galactic there last year just a week after the venue opened. The place was deserted - maybe 50 people were there - but was absolutely gorgeous and Galactic was incredible, as always. We loved it so much we went back the next night.

They clearly spared no expense in building this place, and the sound was as good or better than any similar-sized room I've been to. I'm sure they've only improved in the year since they opened. We already have tickets and rooms booked, and will be rolling into town with a nice crew of friends. Hope to see some of you there!

Go to Linq (nearby) and Hash House A Go Go for incredible breakfast.  Get there early or prepare to wait.

We have a group of 4 going to this one capping off our road trip from Missoula on.

I've been to BB before and was at the NY one on NYE for Deer Tick. We lucked into grabbing a bowling lane before and during the show and it was a great move.  You have a raised viewing platform and access to the lanes to bowl before the show with a waiter and all that jazz. It's pretty cool.

You need 8 to reserve one of these spots, is there another group that is interested in joining forces?  Let me know and we can work something out.

I'm flying into the show solo from Boston and would be interested in going in on the lane with a bunch of people for one of the shows.
Let me know if you need one spot to be filled.
Thanks

looking more and more like I may be doing this trip solo.
Anybody else in the same boat?

I may be looking to share room and sell my extra ticket cheap if it ends up happening

Is anyone planning on doing the Roll Call VIP package?  My brother and I are interested in making the trek out there but are trying to determine whether using the standard roll call package is the best route.

It's more than likely you will be able to add the soundcheck later on when/if they have it.  But based on the VIP list of items, soundcheck is on for night 1.  And during the summer tour that came with signed posters.  Standard roll call should give you early entry benefits as well.  I'm not sure the price of rooms plus the importance of that particular balcony spot would make VIP really beneficial.

Count me in for both nights! My wife and I had to cancel our Red Rocks trip at the last minute so she surprised me with a trip to Vegas and tickets to both shows! I can't wait!!!
