I just got emails that NOLA and Birmingham are cancelled. Did y'all get them for any other shows?

Kansas City just got cancelled too! Bummed out... Still get the signed poster with the full refund, at least.
Doesn't matter what you're doin', as long as you're losin' your head

Charlottesville is cancelled as well due to "unforeseen logistical time constraints."  It's very cool that they are still coming thru with the signed poster.

I just received a refund from WU but no explanation. Can only guess MPP is now also cancelled. Bummer.
Don't you ever turn it off

I also received a refund for the MPP soundcheck.  Bummer.  No email from WU.

How strange! It's obviously not due to unforeseen time constraints if they're doing this across the board.

maybe it's a preventative measure to avoid things that may contribute to burnout...

Or they really just hate playing, "Just One Thing", and decided they had enough... On a serious note, why is that song only relegated to sound checks. It was the same way in 2012 on tour.
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

If the band didn't want to do them, which I get, it should have never been a thing to begin with. If they'd said that from the start I wouldn't have reupped with RC. And poster pickup shouldn't have to be before the show. I was really looking forward to sound checking with one of my favorite humans, who I actually met at the best/weirdest soundcheck ever, at our first jacket's show together since. I'm not real big on complaining about first world problems, but I complain. This is BS.

It's possible but I don't think that's it. I mean they have to do sound checks before shows anyway right? I never expected those 3-4 songs to be a mini concert but rather just what they were billed as ....a soundcheck. That includes all it's warts, and imperfections. I can't speak for them or anyone else but I never went to these with the expectation of seeing perfection.

Maybe over time they have evolved into a mini show but the first ones I saw in 11 weren't perfect, and that was part of their charm for me. It felt like we were treated to a peak into the band's inner circle, and got a first hand view of another part of how they work. With  the added bonus of hearing a couple more songs, and some funny banter from Jim, and the guys.

I hope they decide to offer these again sometime down the road, and if it had become almost like another performance for them, maybe they'll dial it back to how the SC's were when they were first offered.
"Where's Jim going?"

Just got an email that the Merriweather soundcheck was refunded by mistake and will still happen.  Wow.

I got the same email and was pleasantly surprised.  I thought the band was done with soundchecks with all these cancellations but apparently not.  That bodes well for future tours.

You're killin' me.  I feel worse every day having to miss the Merriweather show and not seeing all of you forum folk who are coming to my home turf.

I'm glad you're getting your soundcheck.  In Minneapolis it was quite sweet and got the afternoon off to a very good start.

The two soundcheck events we did started around an hour late. Multiple emails changing times and status updates. Turned into a big clusterfuck which is probably why they decided to scrap it. The poster thing was always the benefit of doing it-you get the poster and you don't have to carry it with you all night, it goes right to the car.
