I'm shocked so many great seats are popping up now. Wow.

You guys think I'll be able to sell the Row U orchestra seat I got? Hoping to at least make that money back (not rip anyone off).

call TM and have them switch out your seats (if you bought the Row U from TM), they'll do this.

I'm not sure they will Walter but it's worth a shot. The Beacon isn't one of the venues on their list for the 72 hour refund or exchange to an upgraded seat.

Yea, I saw that list. May give it a shot anyway. Thanks!

Definitely worth a shot. It can't hurt to try.

They really are Ticketbastards though. They have their refund/ exchange policy in big, bold letters like they're all costumer friendly but they drop the "participating venue" thing in there in smaller letters as a nice disclaimer for them. Then when you see the list, there's not exactly a lot of venues in NYC they do this for. No Beacon, no MSG, no Nokia Theater( or whatever it's called now).

Yea, I'll try giving it a call in a little bit. Just hoping I can find someone who was unlucky with tickets who would want mine for face. I always hate waiting until the day of a show and then losing out on a little bit when people don't want to pay for face value. In the end I'll be happy cuz I have two nights of MMJ but right now my wallet is hurting a little.

Odd they never announced the other two nights....

USUALLY for Allman Bros, they would announce additional dates the day they go on sale... same goes with Tame Impala '14. Sold out and they announced the next night within a half hour.

Sensible side of me is hoping they don't announce it for a little while because of money issues but the greedy side of me wants 4 nights instead of 2.

That's how I got front row center section for Tame Impala.  I had a feeling they would add another date so I just kept refreshing.
10: T5 (At Dawn, Z, Evil Urges) 11: VA, MSG, 2012: BK, Cap Theater 1-2 15: GovBall, XPN, Beacon 2+3

itrainmonkeys

Maybe these ones aren't 100% sold out yet and they'll announce it when all the tix are gone?

GO4IT

Crap, here I predicted they'd release more good seats sooner rather than later and then I miss the whole thing while doing work.  They seem to be all gone.  Damn!

oistheone

Well after a rather stressful, then disappointing, then uplifting afternoon -- I'M IN!!! Though budget constraints will likely limit me to only two nights, even if the other two nights do get added.

Away in the mountains this weekend and couldn't access the ticket sale.

If anyone has 1 or 2 extras in the orch up front! I would be only too happy to take them off your hands.

was some shakin' and some record playin'

If anyone sees good seats pop up on Ticketmaster for the Tuesday show, I would appreciate a quick PM to alert me.

Hey Everyone,

When I purchased tickets to Tuesday night, the receipt on my tickets said "Obstructed View." This angered me because I was not given warning prior to check-out. This also prompted to me try and get different seats, which I was able to obtain.

I called Ticketmaster and they told me that The Beacon is not on their list of venues that offer refunds (something that others have echoes in other threads). If Ticketmaster/Beacon is not able to prove that i was advised of the obstructed view prior to checkout, they would refund my money.

Just received a notice that my tickets have been refunded. If this scenario happened to anyone else and they would like their money back, I would suggest calling 1 (800) 653-8000. This is the number for pre-existing order.

I might just try this out instead of looking to sell my obstructed view orchestra seat. Thanks for the tip.

Wonderfulman - where did you say it said "Obstructed View"? I'm almost positive when I bought my tickets it said obstructed in the checkout but now I'm not seeing it anywhere on my ticket info or receipt.

I'm also nervous that if I ask them to cancel one order they'll end up cancelling my amazing seat and leave me with Row U haha.

itrainmonkeys

Well I tried for the ticketmaster / obstructed view complaint. They really didn't want to help me out and kept saying "You called us already and were told "All sales are final" and I had to keep explaining that Yes, I called earlier but was told Beacon wasn't on the list of refund venues. I didn't mention about not knowing it was obstructed view in the original call.

After 15 or so minutes of me explaining that my friend had the same exact issue (didn't know it was obstructed, called and complained, got refunded when they couldn't prove it said obstructed) they finally said they would try to reach out to the venue and see if it was listed or not on the ticket buying page.

Fingers crossed I get the refund. I don't like the hassle of selling tickets and have lost out on money in the past when unsucessful in selling a ticket. Thanks for the tip wonderfulman.

Got lucky today with a sweet Orch for Friday night,   but shut out for Sat. I'll wait to update my RC post to all shows after I get a Sat. ticket later this week.

I purchased the tickets on my phone, and once the order was processed, I was given a virtual screenshot of my tickets. This screenshot can be seen on your Ticketmaster account under "view my tickets." My tickets said "obstructed view" on them, but was not advised until checkout.

Sounds like you are on the right path. Make sure you give them the order number associated with the obstructed view seats. Like yourself, I purchased two pairs, one in the upper balcony (obstructed) and the other Orchestra 1 Row F. They only cancelled the obstructed view order.

I am just like you, I would much rather get my money back instead of stressing about getting rid of the ticket. With the extra two nights getting added, they might be a little more difficult to unload.

JaneCool

You can add me to the list for Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
So, I do believe.....

Thanks so much for the help! I'm hoping it works out. I bought my ticket on the computer and the fact that I had already called looking for a basic refund (not because of obstructed) hurts my case. I think also because it's a few days later instead of the day of the sale.

I'm hoping Beacon just says screw it and tells TM to refund my money. Otherwise I'll be looking to unload it. Wouldn't be terrible but definitely would prefer having the money back in my account soon.
