And I am STILL managing 3 shows in San Francisco and 2 in NYC.  Credit cards are wonderful.  So are weekends so I don't have to worry about taking time off.

Hell, I had to pony up big time just to get my date to postpone until tomorrow night so I can check out the webcast tonight. She isn't into watching it, but I didn't want to miss it. Something tells me she's not marriage material!

First a great Friday night watching the RR webcast, and then today having my Beacon Night 1 Amex TM presale tix arrive in my mailbox!  A pretty great Jacket surprise today after the high of last night.

Now I just gotta make it to November!

Hell, I had to pony up big time just to get my date to postpone until tomorrow night so I can check out the webcast tonight. She isn't into watching it, but I didn't want to miss it. Something tells me she's not marriage material!

I'm at least going on Sat but am trying to rally some friends (including some virgins) for a Thanksgiving that includes Fri and Sat shows.  We shall see.

Haha. I think you may be right my friend.    I'm pretty easy going but there's just some things there's NO compromising on, and some you've got to be compatible on. I mean if it starts with a webcast next thing you know it's a show or road trip, and that ain't happening. 

Good luck on getting your friends to the Beacon, and hope to see you there both weekend nights.

Yeah, if you're having issues with a livestream on your couch, how is she going to get her head around you going to the West Coast for a 3-night run?!? 

Things jelled pretty quick this morning with my friends.  They gave the go-ahead and I checked out ticketbastard and found no 4-together seats on the standard sale but then hit the Chase sale and scored 4 together near center at the back of the lower balcony, 10 rows behind and exactly the same numbered seats I have for my other 4 tix on Sat.  It's gonna be a little different Thanksgiving than in years past.

I know, was really looking forward to getting up to NYC and seeing them live again (even though I just saw them at Forecastle).  The tickets are in the Upper Level Balcony, Row J, first 2 seats.  I paid $70/ticket and that's all I'm trying to get back for them.

Ok, I think your best bet would be to post them up at the top of the shows page, where it says tix for sale.  You should do fine with unloading them.

No matter which way I try and fudge the financials, I just can't seem to make the full four-day experience work for me. Bummer, but I'm going in hoping the first two nights make the trip more than worthwhile! I'm sure the first two nights will be great, and well worth making the trip for.  If it's any consolation, I and many others thought the first two nights of T5 were the best of that run.

There's been a lot of talks of Okonokos II, but has there been an opportunity greater than 4 nights in NYC better to make it happen?  As much as I'd like to think that it will be 4 nights of no repeats, has there been a better opportunity to make sure they're able to record a solid bunch of songs while making sure there are no mistakes in the songs that are played?

I'm with you man. No repeats all the way. If every other multi night run gets them why would NYC be any different?

These shows will be the last of the tour, and if they don't have the songs down perfectly or how they want them by then, I can't imagine they ever will. No reason they can't pull off each song to their liking by only playing them once during the run,IMO.
