Only 4 Signatures on Autographed Waterfall Boxed Sets?

Hello,

I've been a fan of MMJ since 2006 but just registered for this board today. Please let me know if this is not the proper avenue for my request. I'm looking for some help with a problem with merch.

I attended the first 2 nights of the SF shows and would be there right now for the third night if it weren't for the having to fly to Chicago this morning for my Dad's 70th birthday party. Last night (Friday, the second night), I bought an autographed copy of the The Waterfall boxed set as a gift for a friend.

When I was looking at the box, I only counted 4 signatures, of which 3 were clear: Patrick, Jim, and Carl. Each of those signatures was on a single line, like most autographs. Then there was Tom, and below that a name that clearly started with a B but didn't really look like Bo Koster. I asked the merch guy if every band member had signed it, and he said yes. He pointed to the B underneath Tom as the 5th autograph. Then I asked the merch guy to check some other copies, and he got three more out of the box. All of them had the same autographs, so I figured they were all there. Frankly I was really excited to get back onto the floor, as the band was about to start, so i made the purchase and didn't give it any more thought.

After the show my wife bought another autographed boxed set for me. She had seen my excitement over the one I had bought for my friend and knew that I really wanted one too. We drove home giddy over the fantastic show and the records.

Unfortunately, when I got home I was finally able to get a closer look at the boxed sets, and I quickly realized that there really are only 4 autographs on the boxes. Bo Koster's autograph is missing. I confirmed this by checking my autographed copy of Circuital.

At this point I'm not very happy about this. Frankly I wouldn't have knowingly paid $100 for each of them if I had known they weren't autographed by every member. I paid $200 in total and feel like I didn't get what I thought I was getting.

My first question is this: was this just a mistake, or is it intentional? Is Bo not signing merch for some reason? If that's the case, I think they should make that known at the merch table. If it's a mistake, like Bo was supposed to sign them all but somehow skipped a bunch, i would really like to get his autograph on my copy and the copy I'm giving to my friend. It only seems fair when I'm spending that much money. Also, if it's a mistake, they should stop selling the copies with only 4 signatures immediately.

Any advice on how I might get this issue resolved is greatly appreciated. I don't know any better way to try to contact someone in the  MMJ merch department.

Oh yeah, I meant to take photos of the autographs but forgot in my haste to get packed for my trip. I can post photos if need be when I get back to the Bay Area.

All suggestions are highly appreciated. I don't know where else to try to contact the band's merch people.

If there was a mistake made, I'm sure it wasn't intentional.   And i'm also sure that they will rectify whatever problem is at hand.  You should definitely post a pic, though.  There are a lot of really avid collectors around here that would know more than I about full-band signatures.  Until then, try not to worry about it too much.  I'm absolutely sure that if there is a problem, it will be fixed.  These are good dudes.

Thanks Stevie. I figured it wasn't intentional, and I trust that we can find some type of resolution. One reason I was posting about it now is so that hopefully they don't keep selling the ones with only 4 autographs.

If anyone sees this thread and is at the next show, maybe consider pointing it out to the merch people.

I'll post photos when I get back to the Bay Area next weekend.

So, you're missing Bo's signature.  He is easy to reach via social media.  Try tweeting him with contact info (your cell or email address) and he might get back to you.  You could ship them to him or some such.
