MMJ played at  Bridge School Benefit (Shoreline Amphitheatre) in Mountain View, CA

2016 was the last Bridge School Benefit show ever...

I was lucky enough to see Bridge II in 1988 which had all sorts of amazing moments but the one that still makes me laugh is when Bob Dylan came on stage he went to the MC's mic and started singing rather than the mic sitting in the middle of the stage waiting for him.  Folks off to the side of the stage were waving, flapping their arms and jumping around trying to get Bob's attention but of course Dylan was blissfully unaware of that and ended up doing his entire set at the wrong mic.

My Morning Jacket were Pink Floyd For A Day once again! Roger Waters asked the boys to be his backing band for the Bridge School Benefit show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California on October 22 and 23, 2016.

Oh man...  One of the best weekends ever.  Camping on site (even though it wasn't allowed) and getting your 4-year old to see Jacket, Metallica, Roger Waters, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, etc. twice in two days.  Doesn't get much better than that musically.

I often wonder if these Bridge School shows are where Roger Waters met and discovered the greatness of Holly and Jess (Lucius) and thought to himself "I need these beautiful voices in my band" The stuff Roger has put out during the pandemic with them is great. I like to think MMJ had so much to do with this and of course Roger already knew how good Bo was. Happy Friday all.

This was my first show of theirs. I became a fan that night.

Wow!  What a first show.  My first was on Americarama, so that doesn't really count.  My real (headlining) first show was 2015 One Big Holiday.
