I was born and raised in Jersey City and man the Loews was a beautiful theater. As was The Stanley across the Square. Some great history in those two buildings including the Dead playing the Stanley in 72, and the Ali/Forman Rumble in the Jungle being simulcast on Closed Circuit tv.

I remember the Loews as more of a movie theater type place, but evidently in the early 2000's it was turned into a live event theater as well.

Good to see both theaters still kicking and very cool to know Jim played there.

Maybe it's been told but does anyone know where and when Jim actually got the V guitar?

not sure but this july 2000 show was the 1st time I saw it

Only 100, maybe 50, of these posters were made if I remember correctly. This show was my 3rd Jim experience and my wife's 1st.

Anyhoo, I'd been looking for this poster for 10 years and I somehow found one for sale for $40 on the CBS website. They had used it one the "Two Broke Girls" apartment for the TV show.

My strangest poster "find" to date.

One Big Holiday 4 man, what an amazing experience that was. My first OBH, went with my now wife and my best friend and his wife. met some amazing people. and the realization that they were playing their entire discography front to back was mind blowing.
i'll never forget the beginning of night 2 and the anticipation "are they really going to do this" and the first chords of Mahgeetah rang out and the entire crowd went absolutely bananas, beer everywhere in the sky. what a weekend.

The rest of the lineup that weekend was amazing as well. Sylvan Esso and Portugal The Man on night 3, got to see Spoon for the first time. J Roddy and Moon Taxi are favorites as well.

Can't wait for the next one boys and girls!
