alright alright, who has a good recording of a recent show they would like to share? With all the recent online streams, SURELY someone out there in interweb land has something to share.

Bonnaroo and Louisville 2011 don't count (cause I already have them ;))

I tried linking it, but the board doesn't like the link.  Search Archive for 2003-06-03 its a goodie!

I want a SBD of Edgefield 2008.

You know mgmt. has all of these...they're just hording them from us and then 10 years down the road, they're gonna release them and make millions on us.
God damn those shaky knees.

Did a search, and this sbd hasn't been drooled over on the forum since 2007 it seems. I think it's bump worthy!

December 21, 2001 - Headliners (Magnix Volume 20):
http://www.archive.org/details/mmj2001-12-21.late.flac16

01. At Dawn (Jim unaccompanied)
02. Lowdown
03. Evelyn Is Not Real
04. Old Sept Blues
05. I Will Sing You Songs
06. War Begun
07. By My Car
08. Picture Of You
09. One Big Holiday
10. Phone Went West
11. O Is The One That Is Real *
12. Easy Mornin' Rebel (w/ diff. lyrics) *

*1st time Easy Morning Rebel and O Is The One That Is Real were played!

The sound is really great, especially for a 2001 recording. The drums are a little distant in portions of the mix, but the vocals and all other aspects are pretty up front and beautiful.

I've been pouring through archive with the obscene goal of listening to all recorded shows, and this one is a definite highlight so far. Nothin' like that fuzz from the early days that we don't hear anymore  :'(

The By My Car sounds like a marshmallow melting.

So glad y'all are listening!! I don't know if you noticed on the bottom of the archive page:

"When listening to this recording it could very well be a soundboard recording, but I'm not sure. I never received information about that. If it's an audience recording, it's a very good one."

The first time I listened I didn't question it being a SBD, but I suppose Magnix man had some unconfirmed questions. I dunno, it'd have to qualify as a pretty legendary taping if you ask me, but hopefully either way it belongs here!

Kinda cool too- he mentions: "This is the last MMJ recording I received on 'old fashioned' tape."     The hiss is soothing....aaah....

Oh yea and WTF is a juju fruit??? Is this right? Makes for sweet album art if so   8)

The first four tracks (Strangulation, By My Car, Picture of You, Bear) are perfect unbelievable quality. Unfortunately the last four are not good due to some issues about them not being broadcasted according to the uploader.

Still worth a listen

It's not early 2000, but this one is probably the best quality on archive for 2000 IMO. In fact the audio is ridiculously good (just cued it up   ;D):

the loud live version of tyrone is superb. i wouldn't be surprised if they took that version and cleaned it to sound studio. (ex. footsteps)
