Why easy pass?  That run was the best I've attended and night 2 was epic.

This is just a hunch I've had for a long time.  I think the vault is very deep and I think they're playing the long game.  Why release everything now when they can slowly release it over the next however many decades?  Look at how often there's "new" releases from the Grateful Dead.  Official releases of popular bootlegs and legendary shows, decades after the fact.  They created something that has and will continue to outlive the band.  Similarly, Neil Young still releases albums he recorded decades ago and shelved for whatever reason.  I think MMJ is doing something similar.  I wouldn't be surprised to see T5 or Beacon or Red Rocks boxsets in 20 or 30 years.  Kind of supporting this theory, when Waterfall II came out, Jim said he thought at one time that it would have been cool to just let it sit and release it in 30 years or so.

Then again, maybe this is all just wishful thinking.

In 30 years I'll be 72. Let's hope they don't wait that long.

ChiefOKONO

Yes, I can see why they'd wait some but I certainly hope they don't wait a really long time to release their gems!

That would've been badass if WF2 came out decades after the band broke up (if I lived that long).  That being said, WF2 came out at the perfect time.  We needed that album so much at that time.  I just remember that time being so dark and the album provided me with something to be happy about.  I think it is one of my favorites by the band now.
Anyway, back on topic.  I'm fine with a live album once a year or so...better than what we've been getting the last decade.  Would be cool to get some big release of a classic show down the road too.

About damn time we got a live version of PWW on wax!! Now do one of the super heavy Cobras from the last few yrs...

Excellent! thank you for the update Mr. White!

Love one of these shows is vol 2.  Am I wrong to be sad the whole show isnt vol 2?  I would buy 75 pounds of albums.... Those shows were amazing.  I wish they would sell soundboards like PJ does.

Those three nights in Chicago were incredible.  What are you thinking would be better?

Great job on reconfiguring the track order to get the entire show on three slabs of vinyl!!

The 1st twelve tracks are in order before the fancy footwork begins on the last 8.

As long as we get that If All Else Fails, I'm good.

I'm not sure i've listened to this chicago show yet. Was this "All Else Fails" sped up like the one they just did at RR? if you haven't heard it yet go do yourself a favor and listen to it, it's..incredible.
Greatest IAEF, sooo amazing. Want that played at every show now.

It's on there!
Sometimes when I get in my zone, you'd think I was stoned, but I never as they say, touched the stuf

I hope if and when this does get a digital download release, the tracklist follows the flow of the show.  I understand the limitations of vinyl, but those don't apply to digital files, so there's no need to muff up the actual setlist.
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

Cameron

It looks like digital will be available on release day this time.

Got the vinyl yesterday and blown away by the sound.  What a nice treat!
If you don't know for yourself, how could you ever know for me....

Cameron

Mine hasn't shipped yet

Is it way better than the bootleg (which I thought sounded great)?
